Hey Joanna, please send me your info to ja5on@aol.com

I will have your order cancelled immediately and make sure you get your $20 back pronto. If you are unhappy with the terms, nobody is forcing you to buy the set. I have read each of your posts and each is a near repeat of the other.

My email was clear and I am saying it clearly again, you can cancel very easily. Nobody is keeping your $20. If you cancel, you get a refund. I am sorry you doubt me.

Joanna,
I am writing to you 'cause it seems you and I have agreed on most things MSCL in the past. First of all; may I say I haven't seen this much mayhem since Sep. 11. It looks like one person (who nobody heard from until today) lists his doubts in a post about the payment process for the DVD's and all of a sudden the wheels start coming off the MSCL wagon. People are jumping ship like it was the Titanic. I acknowledge that Luis makes an articulate and well-thought-out point(s), but does he really know any more than M. Glenn, Jason R. or any other Lifer here? Let's face it this whole box set/dvd project has been less than typical. We all know that. But do we really all need to abandon the DVD movement due to one person's speculation? Let's face it...we're not being asked to invest in Enron here. Some people have decided to toss A.U. under the bus and all faith is lost.?. This whole thing reminds me of a post someone made in the not too distant past that went something like "I'm losing hope". I jumped in to defend the cause then and I'll do it again here. I will continue to do so 'till I am watching the series on DVD in my living room. I can see the headlines now..."MSCL DVD project shot in the foot by Lifer's themselves". We all just need to chill and have a little faith in those that have brought us this far. Trust that they will take us the rest of the way. I am sure there are enough Lifer's out west that we could storm the walls of A.U. if this is in fact a farce. Do you really think A.U. and Jason and so many others would have gone to all these lengths just to scam you out of a measly $100. Keep the faith. Sit tight. Mail Jason or A.U. with your concerns. I'm just trying to stay positive here. I really am not concerned with paying in advance. June 18 isn't that far away. It's just about enough time for me to go out and buy a DVD player. Hang in there.

Re: DVD buyers beware!

The confusion, it seems to me, is all on the part of fans jumping to erroneous conclusions based on supposition and/or simply not reading their emails, the DVD page here and at AU, or Jason's repeated posts in this forum very well.

The concern, on the other hand, is coming from both sides. Fans want this to happen. They want their MSCL DVDs. But they don't want to get ripped off. AU has gone out of its way, IMHO, to assuage those concerns -- to the point where Ross, President and CEO has posted on this board!

BMG has been paid and is already producing the discs; there's no stopping this. In the end, there will be 2500+ sets sitting in AU's warehouse -- the question is, after all of the doom and gloom that some people have been pumping out lately, how many of the people who pre-ordered it will actually be left?

If I didn't know better, I'd suspect that some people missed out on the pre-order period and are now trying to get as many people as possible to cancel their orders in order to better the chances that they, the nay-sayers on the waitlist, will receive one of the reduced-price limited edition sets with bonus disc and special packaging.

not selective but too many posts

Post by Colene » Mar 27th 2002, 10:41 pm

I just want to point out that I think a lot of information gets lost within the many, many posts. Since I <strike>have no life</strike> am thorough, I read all the posts :) I understand that some people don't have time (understandable), so information gets jumbled or completely missed.

As for the panic, I don't think I could have said it better than K-man!

I don't post that often but I do read everyones post. I think that K-man said it best, I pre-ordered & am glad I did, I have faith that this project will happen. Thanks to Jason & Everyone involved in this project, I see no reason to cancel my order, I am looking forward to getting my DVD's in the collector edition.

:)

Thanks, and for public record, I have not received the cancellation request info from someone who here has been very vociferous on this BB about wanting to cancel. I responded to at least 4 or 5 of the same post.

Therefore, if you hear unfounded rumors that refunds are not being granted to people who want to cancel, I respond publicly that a BB post is not sufficient notice to cancel an order. My email ja5on@aol.com.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi K-man,

Yes I admit - I did get my feathers a bit ruffled when I checked in to the Forum yesterday. Rest assured, I have not cancelled my order yet and am biding my time to see what other events transpire. I know we should back this thing all the way but I can't really afford it and it is a risk I could do without taking (paying the full amount). I originally figured that even though I couldn't afford it now, in ten years time when I still had my DVD's I would be able to afford it then. I know some things in life are work taking chances for and once again I totally agree with your views (thank you for your calming affect) but it is just so frustrating and isolated being stuck over here in the UK with the majority of you over there in the US! :0)

Yes, there are by far too many posts to remember everything that has been said all at once. I feel that there was some mass hysteria yesterday among some lifers as a result of this ~:0) It was like a tornadoe hit MSCL yesterday!

"among *some* lifers" (emphasis added), eh?
But you wouldn't know anything about that, now would you? =9

Message to the UK folks. ;-)

If you guys on the other side of the pond keep getting all panicky, I'm gonna have to go send NATO and the UN on a peace keeping mission. ;-) You are forgiven though, because of your two killer exports, namely Branston Pickle and Ambrosia Creamed Rice. Oh yeah, and Kylie Minogue, too.

I never said I doubted YOU Jason! I did just get a bit caught up in the entire frenzied whirlwind of posting yesterday but being over here in the UK makes the enitire situation seem even bigger to be a part of! However I am calm today and am sitting out of it all for a while contemplating my finances. My main concerns (I am sorry to say that yes, I am a worrier) are the cost as I am not too well off since graduating....yet. I am now worrying about silly things like - what if it doesn't play when I get it (even though both my player and the dvds are region free)? What if it is damaged??? It is then I just feel like I am dealing with something bigger than I can handle. At this moment in time I am not considering cancelling - just considering my options. I know you are doing a great job and are being incredibly patient with all of this but when dealing with the US I feel like I am dealing with a big black hole (even though I have been to more places there than in my own country!) I don't think anyone will be truely happy until they have their boxsets at home and in their players! I was just doing a bit of frustration venting yesterday and I thought I was careful in being bland and not aiming my thoughts at anyone.

It's a shame that I don't get paid for posting on bulletin boards, because I put in an 8 hour day yesterday. :-P

Kylie is NOT British - she is from down under! And in the last interview I saw her in she didn't like Americans because they never got that right!

By the way, ever tried our chocolate?? It's the best - yum!!!
