They are sweet (which seems weird for beans) but I have only had them once or twice.

except, of course, for jelly beans.

I'd love to have been in that conference room when they unveiled the flavors. I don't care if they were in the movie or not. It's absolutely disgusting. Bleh.

Yeah, ok, maybe people are whining a little bit, but can you honestly blame them? I think we are all aware that Jason has been incredible thorought this entire process, and anyone still stupid enough to think that this is just an elaborate hoax should shut the hell up ( I cannot believe that Jason has to spend time explaining to people that this is genuine, and not a cruel joke ) but the reason people are frustrated is because we have already waited long enough, and the process of production is so pathetically buerocratic and covered in 'red tape' that we are being kept on hold again and again.

Lets face it - BMG have us over a barrell here. If we want the set, then we have to wait. we cant turn around and take our business elewhere, even though we would like to, we quite simply have to put up with their crap until we get it. BMG are a huge company and we are not going to make them millions of pounds from sales of the set, so we are not customers they need to look after. The fat cat bosses probably don't even remember MSCL - all they see is a small group of people who are depending on them. We will continue to be at the bottom of their priorities until the very day the sets are sent.

Sad, but very very very true.

Post by Krakolano » Jul 25th 2002, 12:27 am

well....
not so sure about all of that...
most of it, of course....but maybe not all of it.
or not to such an extreme.

but Pedro is right; there are two things going on here -- Jason, and BMG. and i think they should be considered as separately as possible. on the one hand, Jason has done SUCH an exceptional job -- relaying information as he gets it, tirelessly answering e-mail and posts here, and remaining at the very least professional if not extremely polite in most cases. the guy has incredible patience.

BMG on the other hand is on my last nerve. i want the damn set, and i want it last month. Jason isn't to blame for delays, that much is obvious. but i think a lot of us feel the need to bitch a little, out of frustration, and just to be able to vent. i don't think anyone really wants to be hostile here, we just need to have a bit of a tantrum. maybe someone should create a dvd tantrum thread......

Your right - I have no intentions of being hostile for the sake of it, I was quite simply venting my frustration. I had never posted any messages in this forum before yesterday, but really needed to let off steam to people who would indirectly understand. I am grateful that the set is being made, I am enamored by Jasons work, and I am a little disgruntled by BMG, but that's it. I really didn't mean to upset anybody, and i'm not posting things on here to stir up emotions or create the spark for a massive online discussion - I was simply stating how I felt.

Living in the United kingdm means that we often dont get a chance to see MSCL. In fact the last time it was screened on terrestial tv was way back in 1997! You lot in the states had it on MTV for years, and probably still have it screened regularly now. This just makes our wait for it a little more intense (In my opinion) and considering that was one of my first ever posts on here I don't think it was that irrational....

Pedro
i think we all understand where you're coming from. i'm not necessarily worried about your venting as i am that people will take it the wrong way. and that's not necessarily your fault -- if there's a place to vent about MSCL related issues it should be this place. i guess my point in replying was to make a distinction between Jason and BMG so that we don't upset anybody who doesn't need to be upset -- there is no BMG appreciation thread here, but there is a Jason appreciation thread, if you take my meaning...

i'm right behind you on this one though. the wait is excruciating, and its the only thing i can think of everytime i visit this board.

oh btw -- i wish us kids here in the states had MSCL running constantly...otherwise i'd have no need to buy any dvds...it re-aired two years ago on Fox family, but it was heavily edited (sacrilege!) they cut out about five to fifteen minutes for time requirements, and i just didn't bother watching it. before that it was a last run on MTV in '97 or '98. other than that....nada...

peace

Krakolano,
You beat me to it on this one. I was going to say the same thing with regard to reruns on TV/MTV. I WISH someone or some station would re-run the series. I am plenty envious of those lucky Aussie folks who (apparently) are currently getting reruns as we speak. If someone aired the ep's I would just fire up the VCR and cancel the DVD order. If I am not mistaken the last time 'Life' aired unedited in North America it was on MTV either in summer or fall 1998.

AU SUCKS

There I said it. All the wisdom in my whole flipping post just went out the window.

Those bastards took $115 dollars from me, right from my bank account no less, starving my children.

Jason has been great, he's doing the best for me and I so appreciate it! But those ASSES at AU can go f**k themselves.

Ross, if you are lurking around reading these posts (because you are all too chicken s**t to answer emails), why don't you guys get a freaking clue? You are so not ready to play with the big boys. Why don't you go back to the sand box. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company and I guarantee I NEVER will again.

Sorry I'm "whining" friends but I figure maybe, just maybe AU will get it in their heads out of their asses and fix all these problems. Though most likely not. GRRRRRRRR I hate it when people piss me off!!

AU, YOU SUCK!
