This is what i find funny about this too.. the whole reason for charging us the full price was because they couldn't keep the authorization open long enough to charge us in what they thought would be June... so how is it they're able to "accidentally" charge us in JULY?

worst. scam. ever.

I was wondering where they came up with the money to pay BMG for the DVDs. ;)

I know. I totally agree it's a scam. I found out about the third attempt at stealing my money because I received an email from AU saying that my credit card was declined and that my order may be cancelled. I was like, what the heck? I paid for that way back in March. Then I called up AU and that's when I found out they tried to charge me yet again and that they had double charged me in March (no explanation for it, accounting dept backed up blah blah, authorize net's fault blah blah). Of course, I was still naive in July because I thought the sets were just around the corner. Shame on me. So after several more phone calls, AU said they would paypal me the next day for my double charge in March. That was end of September. Did I receive a paypal payment? Of course not. And it's now mid-October.

I talked to a friend who is a securities litigation lawyer. He says AU is totally a fraud situation, but doesn't think a plaintiffs lawyer would take the case as a class action lawsuit because AU is obviously lacking funds. He said we could try a DA who's trying to make a name for himself. All I know is that if I don't get my money back after 30 days from my cancellation, I want to take them to small claims court. I was going to do that with PacBell with their overcharges (my other nemesis), but they came through at the last minute. I have even less confidence with AU. Small claims court might be fun. :)
