I'll answer that mail in the next days. After Ross asked the people who didn't get a refund yet in this forum to e-mail him about a week ago, I did so and he promised to do it

when I called my CC on Saturday they said, that there is a transaction announced, but that they are not able to tell me what it is at the moment. So I have to wait a few days and call them again

I did not receive the email for whatever reason.

Along the way i've now phoned AU twice, emailed AU twice, emailed Ross twice, and filled out the form twice.

So far not a cent have i seen! :x

new email went out

I didn't receive the email either. I spoke to a live person by phone (and was assured it would be taken care of), did the drygrass form and emailed Ross and still have not received a refund of my overcharge.

I've been trying to give AU the benefit of the doubt here, but I'm starting to lose patience and worry a bit. I sent e-mail to Ross when he posted his most recent request, and received a reply from him. I went and set up online access to my bank account so I could get up-to-the-minute (or close enough) info on my account before I filled out the Dry Grass form, and as of last night, I still hadn't received a refund for the $115 overcharge.

So, in short, I'm still hoping that Ross and AU will come through with a refund, but I'm a bit puzzled at why things are taking so long.

If you used a credit card, dispute the charges. It is as easy as a phone call and you'll get a form in the mail to sign and fax or mail back.

Still waiting for refund of overdraft charges...

Post by justjill » Oct 15th 2002, 1:54 pm

Hello...

I did get a refund for a $115 double charge that took place in August, BUT I still haven't been credited $99 in overdraft fees caused by checks bouncing after $115 was stolen from my account! Does that qualify for your survey?? If so, please chalk me up in the "NO" category.

I have called, e-mailed and faxed Another Universe detailed notes & bank statements explaining the situation. Wade told me in August that the company wouldn't be processing anymore overdraft fees until after the box set was sent out because they needed to focus their energy on getting the set out. Well, at that time, that seemed reasonable because customers had been told the set would be shipping in September--HA HA!

Since we obviously know that's not true, I responded to Ross' "Sticky" memo for request for information from those who were still awaiting refunds. Even though I've been faxing, calling & e-mailing several times since October 9th, I've received no credit and no one from Another Universe has even bothered to respond to me.

In fact, I had to call again today and was told by Thomas that Wade was "out sick" and Ross is "travelling" so there was no one who could handle my complaint. When I told Thomas I am no longer willing to wait on my refund until after the box set ships he actually said "BUT IT WILL BE GOING OUT ANY DAY NOW!" :?

Oh well, since you put it that way... I STILL want my money back ASAP regardless of when the set ships.

Geez...

If the overdraft fees are a direct result of an unauthorized charge, your bank should remove them. However, you have to go to the bank, and explain the situation to them, and fill out forms stating that an unauthorized charge occured, which they will then investigate.

Since you already got the money refunded by AU, I'm not sure what your bank's procedure will be. Usually when you report the unauthorized charge, you are also filing for the credit. Either way, I suggest going and talking to someone. They might be able to help. And go as soon as possible, since there may be a time limitation as well.
