So where is the news on Ross' so-called meeting with BMG?

Post by so-called customer » Oct 14th 2002, 6:05 pm

I had held out hope that there would be at least some word that AU was getting its sh*t together with this apparent meeting at BMG, but as the hours fade away there seems to be yet another vacuum in the information flow regarding this horrid fiasco that MSCL has become.

Was there a meeting?

Was the payment issue resolved?

Is there any word on a shipping date?

Hello, hello?

So I just wanted to say that I personally just sent off an e-mail to Ross about the non-payment and such. Basiaclly I said I wanted answers. I was very nice, there was no name calling. Well now we shall see if I will actually get a response.

Jason,
Any idea as to when you might get news about this meeting? Shouldn't we have heard something...anything...by now? Everyone seems to be "running around like a chicken with its head cut off" (so to speak). The mass confusion in this forum is making me dizzy! Some definitive information would be very helpful.

Personally, I'm waiting to see what happened in that meeting with BMG before canceling. I've already pre-ordered with Amazon, and a drafted cancellation e-mail to Ross is standing by.

Jason-

Every once in a while, I fell compelled to say, "God Bless You!"

You and Gord have bent over backwards to see that we are not
3800 ignorant people sitting wonder whatever happened to the MSCL dvds.

I cannot imagine what it feels like to be you right now, but as a person
who probably isn't going to see either a refund or the DVDs, I just do
want to say "Thanks" to you, and that, in the future, I will gladly partake
of any DVDs you have a hand in getting made. (Assuming I like the
content, of course.) :)

Do you know if there is another one planned?

Not to my knowledge. I have no idea where Ross is or what he is doing, but this is not a good development.

I don't want any new rumors to start. Can you confirm that there was no meeting? If not, when might you know?
Thank you!

There was no meeting with BMG. There was no meeting scheduled, although they were not going to turn him away if he showed up.

I am going to show incredible restraint and refrain from posting the "Where in the world is ross and what the hell is he doing" POLL. If I was voting, though, I'd say he's tapping that off-shore bank account, downing expensive drinks at a fancy beach while lounging in an aeron chair.

There was no meeting yesterday, but Ross said he hopes to meet with them today. I called and spoke to him last night. We got cut off and he tried to call me back a few times but I was on the phone with my Grandpa.

Ross "hopes" to meet with BMG today! I hope it's true, but I'm not counting on it. Besides, I've already cancelled my order with AU.

Something kind of intersting occurred to me a couple of days ago. A year or so ago, before this project, I had considered making a purchase from AU. They had some Buffy items I was interested in. The funny thing is, I decided against the purchase because I didn't like the "look" and "feel" of their website. I've shopped from many different online retailers, and the AU site didn't project that certain level of professionalism that the other sites had. Heck, they didn't even offer order tracking! Bottom line...I didn't order from them because they did not appear to be a reputable and trustworthy company. Just goes to show...always trust your first instincts.
