I also have the AU 'receipt' letter. In reviewing it today, I noticed that it's just a generic 'form' letter. My name and CC number do not appear anywhere on it...no overcharges have appeared on my account.

This is my first post at mscl.com. I've been lurking since the box set was announced at the first of the year, watching as the furor and gnashing of teeth has developed <grin>.

I have already pre-ordered at amazon.com, but I'm hanging on for a while with AU, hoping to get the bonus disc & lunchbox.

Highest kudos to Jason. I received _two_ confirmations from him when my e-mail address changed.

I e-mailed Ross twice today and I understand he may have a lot of e-mails to answer to but he didn't e-mail me back saying he would take care of my cancellation.
Last week, I emailed Ross and requested a written confirmation of AU's agreement to cancel my order and issue a full credit, and I received it via fax 2 days later. I had to be pretty persistent (sending emails repeating that I had not received it yet), but it came. It turns out I won't even need it to dispute the charge with my CC company (as I was assuming I would have to do) since my money was refunded by AU the next day. So I feel like one of the lucky ones. Good luck to you all!
That is great news!

I think people should be a little more patient. I don't think that Ross is spending 24 hours a day glued to his computer answering the flood of emails he must be getting. Get real people! He has a business to run; this incredible mess to sort through and deal with; a trip to the east coast ... and meeting with BMG and who knows what else.

I realize that everyone has been thrown into a panic but please try to be a little realistic.

The letter I have is also a generic form so nowhere does it mention my CC number or something like that. I cannot really use it...

I will call back my CC company and see what they can do.

As for giving Ross a break because he has a buisness to run, I am sorry to say that No way, I will not give him a break. I tried to tell him with respect that I wanted a refund but right now, all I can tell him is that I will file a complaint against his company if I don't see my money back by the end of the week. If we don't show him that we are mad and we want our money back, trust me, we will never see our money back. Even if he is out of town, someone at AU should be there to help us and handle all the cancellations. Now, all we get is Wade telling us to not cancel and that he doesn't know when we will get our money back. Sorry that is not good enough for me. I am not talking about 20$ here, I am talking about 160$ Canadian and I want it back. As simple as that... If he knows how to run a company, he should know how to take care of the people who buy from him. That's all!

I agree with you there - I am not going to give Ross a break because "he has a business to run." What he has been doing (or not doing in some cases) constitutes the business he is supposed to be running. Yes, he has an incredible mess to sort through, but should WE be paying for that (literally AND figuratively)? And how urgent would the BMG meeting be if his company had paid them as promised?

Ross had my sympathies when the music clearance issue came up. I put blame where it belongs and that was not his fault. A lot of this stuff IS his fault though, and I'm not going to play Stephanie Self-Esteem and stroke his ego and make excuses for his screw ups. He owes us BMG and GWhiz their money, and he owes US those DVDs.
