The lunchbox company has not been paid as of 4:00pm Pacific time.
How are you able to confirm all this information? Thus far, only Jason has been able to do that.

And that email was based on information I received from Ross. Now you know why I am really upset.

As of this writing, I can confirm the following FACTS:

1) BMG has still not been paid.
2) G Whiz has still not been paid.
3) If BMG is not paid in full, the discs intended for AU will go to Amazon and the other retailers before AU. You will have to wait until AU pays for the discs.

I am not posting here to spread panic, or to treat Ross badly, or anything of the sort. However, I am making the following recommendation:

Set a deadline of Wednesday, October 16.

If BMG has not been paid IN FULL, and if G Whiz has not been paid IN FULL by 10/16, please cancel your order and buy from a reputable site, such as Amazon. If you are fairly confident that this warning is correct, you can cancel now by calling 888-5-COMICS, or visiting http://www.drygrass.com/mscl.

I've just cancelled thru drygrass.com. As I had said in the "Why are you cancelling ?" Remarks field at the site: I think that Jason has done an outstanding job just to make the MSCL DVD set a reality and hope he has better luck in future projects...It's just unfortunate that AU could not be trusted to even pay BMG and the Lunchbox vendor. Because of this I really don't think any of us we'll be seeing the Lunchbox/Bonus disc version of the set anytime soon. I have ordered another set from Amazon. To everyone else: Use your best judgement, but decide soon. Thanks again Jason

Cancelled

Post by kartar » Oct 11th 2002, 10:51 pm

After my most recent attempt to contact AU and further reading on this forum I have decided to cancel my order in combination with disputing the charge. I have also registered a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission based on false and misleading information related to the sale of a consumer product.

You know I can not express enough my HATRED of this f'ing situation. I even got 3 of my friends in on this "deal", and now they call me all the time seeing what the hell is going on.

I can not BELIEVE this is the s**t situation AU got me and all of you in. Amazon.com sells it for less. AU hasn't paid the makers. If they don't pay the makers AU's discs go to another distributor.....DAMN AU P.O.S.!

So it's really hard to say that I'm thinking I'm going to stick it out. I WANT the lunch box and the bonus disk. Those are the only things that made me take the plunge and buy this set for the overinflated price of $100. 26 eps of The X-Files costs $79.99, go figure.

SO I WANT that bonus s**t. And Ross better pull his head out of his ass and let us apply the $30 GC (which I have not heard anything about personally) to the price of the box set.

These things need to happen for my happiness to be complete.

1. Credit my double charge.
2. Take $30 off the price and keep your damn GC
3. Ship me the DVD

With any other company, that would be a piece of cake.

If it doesn't happen I hope the sniper makes a special trip to California, you AU asses.
