Uncancelling your order?

Post by phelix » Oct 31st 2002, 7:01 pm

Now that it appears that Ross will have the discs to ship, how many of you who cancelled are going to uncancel? Since it's obvious that I will never get my money back, I probably will (damn you , Ross).

"Hell no" wasn't an option, so I just went with "No."

I have already been burned by AU a couple of times. No thanks.
I will stick with Amazon. I might not get a bonus disc or a lunchbox but hey, I didn't get into this mess originally for them. I ordered a MSCL a box set and that's what I am going to get.

tengrand <-- another customer who uncancelled order w/AU

I think we stand a better chance of getting the dvds than we do a refund. I vote YES.

Pigs could fly and hell could freeze over, but I STILL would not uncancel my order. I don't think AU could pay me enough to do business with them again. So in lieu of the option "For the love of all that is good and decent in the world, HELL NO," I'll have to just say No.

I sent a cancellation email to Ross when i ordered from Amazon, but i've never been able to get word as to whether the order was truly cancelled.

The email also said, in essence, "gimme my money" and none has shown up. :x

I've been getting very anxious. I've already watched the first 3 episodes on my copied VHS tapes. Show's just as great as i remembered. :D

I cancelled by sending in an email through the drygrass system. Should I also send anotheruniverse an email? I just found they didn't respond anyway so why bother.... ? I would like to cancel my order, for sure though.

I cancelled by calling AU direct. The 3 or 4 e-mails sent directly to Ross were never responded to. I honestly didn't expect him to reply, but I figured I'd try anyway. After a conversation with Wade in which he informed me that he could not guarantee a refund within the next 3 weeks, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges.

I recommend calling AU (888-5-comics) to confirm your cancellation. They almost never respond to e-mailed requests.
I also recommend contacting your credit card company and dispute the charges as soon as possible.
If only there were a button somewhere that I could push. To force me to stop talking.

I actually wish people hadn't started doing this. It's given AU an excuse to delay processing the cancellations those of us who have made our minds up and don't plan on changing. Grrr.

I answered incorrect to the poll. I read too fast. My answer is suppose to be yes. Or accually I shouldn't have answered it at all since I haven't cancelled.

Um... you do realize that they will never refund the money, right?

BTW, I'm one of the two who said he would uncancel, and I have now changed my mind. Deepdiscountdvd.com is selling them for $45.97( with free shipping) which is cheap enough for me. Also, I've become concerend that if I did uncancel that AU would charge me again.

So, I will have paid a total of $145.95 or $225.93 for this set, depeding on whether my bank refunds the doublecharge or not. And AU gets to keep my money and the discs

I'm hoping the bank will take care of that - I've gained some comfort from the posts of successful charge disputes and hope to get my cash back the same way.

Besides, I somehow feel slightly better about being robbed, than conned... :?
