a previous experience with AU

Post by Sky » Oct 20th 2002, 1:49 am

I hadn't even given this much thought until all of these delays and problems started happening, but a while back I ordered from AnotherUniverse. I ordered 2 DVD's which were shipping together, I got my total, and I used my credit card to pay for it online. Soon after I got one of the DVD's, and a few days after that I got the other. They didn't notify me that they were shipping separately which may not have been such a big deal if it weren't for the fact that they decided to charge shipping on each DVD separately, so they'd billed my credit card again for extra shipping costs without even telling me. It was only about $2 and I'm not the complaining type, so I just fixed it in my checkbook and didn't think about it again. Now that all this problem with the MSCL DVD set has come up, I just sit here kicking myself for doing business with them after that. So this is just to let everyone know that after my experience and what's going on now, let's just not ever use AU again. I canceled my order for the MSCL DVD's 3 times and have still yet to receive a confirmation or refund. From a company like them, I may never get one.

Thanks for the tip. I think I'm finally cancelling after hearing the stuff about the bonus disc. Even if that and the lunch box do materialize, it's not worth it to reward a company that knowingly screws people over, let alone the credit card stuff.
