Okay okay, you've convinced me. Might make an educated gamble and buy it from Amazon.
socalledfan wrote:High Fidelity was also great. Good use of music and narrative. And I love Jack Black's humor. He's a hoot.
Totally agree. Jack Black is insane.

Re: good taste!

My all-time favorite movie is Say Anything...huge fan of John Cusack and director Cameron Crowe. I've been meaning to see Say Anything for quite some time now. I became an instant fan of Mr Cusack after High Fidelity . Also, your list is quite impressive, probably because I love most of those films...

Hey..... you!

Hey, thanks. :) Incidentally, I'm very happy that a new Two-Disc Special Edition of True Romance is being released on DVD in late September. What other movies do you like? Well, I'm a bit of a film buff, so my tastes can be rather eclectic or pretty ordinary at times. Speaking of TR, I do dig Tarant...

The absurd price may have something to do with priority shipping and/or insurance. Either way, if I had a disposable income I'd still be apprehensive in paying such a price. :?

When I first became aware of the series, and in turn became a so-called fan, I don't think I related to any specific character. I was Jordan being oblivious to Angela's feelings. I was Brian when it came to academic prowess. I was Angela with those perfectly expressed "sighs". I was Rayanne trying t...

Re: Mysterious Cities of gold!

From what I understand, the series was a joint French - Japanese production.

There are French R2 DVDs of the series, but unfortunately the English dub isn't on
any of these discs.

Re: MSCL Tee

I too was disappointed that it was only a t-shirt ad. But then thought, "Hey, I wouldn't mind wearing a MSCL t-shirt 'round the place." Sadly, my hopes were dashed when I came to the realisation that it's going to cost me $39.95 in shipping to Australia. <img src="/forum/images/frown.gif"> Clarence ...

Re: Celebration?

The morning it arrives on my front door step, I shall lock all doors and windows, disconnect the phone lines and any link to the outside world. I'll then ensure that the kitchen is fully stocked, and the UPS is in working order in the event there's a power cut. Finally, I'll pop the first disc in th...

Re: OT: What other shows... on DVD

The Newsroom was wonderfully dark. I only caught the latter half of the series,
and would love to see those first episodes sometime in the future.

Re: OT: What other shows... on DVD

In regard to Felicity on DVD, the following was posted on a Sports Night newsgroup by someone who's close to (and/or who works for) Disney; <font color=red>"ABC will be announcing soon that the entire series of Sports Night, as well as the first seasons of Once and Again and Felicity will be release...

Re: OT: What other shows... on DVD

Parker Lewis Can't Lose was great, and I have many fond memories watching it
every weekday afternoon.

Liquid Television was brilliant. Pity the one DVD (Wet Shorts, The Best of) of the
series, is now out of print.

Re: Twin Peaks

I stand corrected. I'd only heard rumours about a potential French release, but a German release is
excellent news for R2. I was under the impression that licensing issues would make any releases
outside of the US almost impossible.

OT: What other shows... on DVD

Since Jason has let his new business venture be known, which will most likely result in a nervous breakdown due to potentially having to endure all *this* many times over, but I digress... What other television shows would you like to see on the shiny disc? It's probably best to mention shows that w...
