Re: 22 Episodes Written

Yeah I still have that DVD set. I didn’t hate them as much as other people seemingly did. I’m sure there’s a discussion about those in this forum somewhere, pretty sure I posted about it.

Re: 22 Episodes Written

I’ve heard those rumors over the years as well. I think if there were scripts they would have appeared by now somewhere.

What was your username back then? Curious to see who is still around. Glad the board is still here.

The Show and This Board Hold Up

So for the first time in a couple of decades I decided to re watch the series in it entirety. I was nervous that it would not age, or rather I did not age well and the wonder of the show would be lost. My concerns were unfounded. Was like discovering the show all over again, and realizing my earlier...

Re: Juno

I finally just saw Juno. Saw the same scene, and as soon as I heard the part about Tino and the drums, I KNEW it was a MSCL shout out (as the kids say).

Glad someone else noticed it as well. Made the movie for me.

Cris Colbourn (Buffalo Tom) on MSCL

I ran across a recent interview that Cris Colbourn of Buffalo Tom gave while on tour in Germany. The interview ended with a question about MSCL... SK: Do you guys still get asked about “My So-Called Life” a lot? CC: (Laughs) In some places, yes. We still play the songs that we did on that. The show ...

My So-Called Hyundai

Has anyone noticed the similarity between the MSCL theme song and the new Hyundai Sonata TV ad music?

I'll try and find a link for it.

Bleachers...at the World Appreciation dance both Angela and Brian sat in the gym bleachers pondering their respective fates, and all the fun they weren't having. Such "fate" of course being caused by their own actions. I met PY after a show 2 years ago. He just sidled up to the bar afterwards, upsta...

I'll pop in. And perhaps a stretch, but thats how this game works, right? Tree....Tree House. Tree House was a single on the Buffalo Tom CD "Big Red Letter Day". Another single on that CD? Late at Night, which of course the band played live on MSCL in an episode. Another single, Sodajerk, appears on...

I think of all the great "musical guest tie-ins" (and there have not been that many great ones), MSCL had the 2 best. Buffalo Tom of course. But Julianna Hatfield was better than perfect in this role and in this episode. I think musical guests on TV shows are often an excuse for the writers to take ...

A Few Words about the Show from Buffalo Tom

Bill Janowitz is the singer/songwriter from the great band Buffalo Tom, who we all know of course from the wonderful episode Self-Esteem and the poignancy of "Late at Night". He's still involved in music, and is very fan-friendly. Feel free to check out his music and site at http://www.billjanovitz....
