I used to get Jeneane Garofolo a lot when my hair was dyed black. I get Sandra Bullock quite often, though I don't see it at all. I think we just have similar coloring and the same sort of long, straight, dark hair. I think that Natalie Merhant looks like me (or I look like her?) but I guess she's p...

Oh, I'm not a hero! I'm just such an extreme scardey-cat of drugs that I'll endure major pain just to avoid them. I took "Requiem for a dream" WAY too seriously, and now I literally won't even take an asprin. And even with all that, there were points where I was crying for an epidural, but it...

I think you're on to something about that movie. I adore it, but it seems like most older folks I show it to (my parents, parents' friends, mother-in-law, etc) don't get it and are even offended by some parts of it. I don't see how anyone could watch it and not be touched to the core. I weep like a ...

Yeah, I take getting confused with Megs as a compliment. Though judging from our photos, if you saw us irl, it would be pretty easy to tell us apart! (Megs is a hottie! LOL)

Wow, what a great insight! I think that's about right. I just saw Panic Room on HBO by the way, and was disappointed by it. I'm not a big Fincher fan, just because I am a little too girly to stomach the heavier stuff (Okay, Se7en gave me nightmares, and I still can't watch the scene in Fight Club wh...

I loved it. Well, I loved it the second time I saw it. The first time I felt a little let down - and confused. Though I'm sure that pretty much how you're supposed to feel. I'm not much of a fan of Nic Cage, but I liked him a lot in this. And I could watch Meryl Streep brush her teeth, she's so char...

Adam Sandler does a good job in the movie. Who knew Marky Mark could act either? I am a huge PTA freak and have his first 3 films practically memorized. I am NOT an Adam Sandler fan (though I loved him on SNL, but everything since - gag!) but this was my exact thought when I heard PTA was making a ...

Something I noticed in this book was a lot more British-isms than I had noticed in any other H.P. book. Does anyone know if they did a seperate Americanized version of this one like they did for the others? I don't know if I took it the wrong way, but I found that kind of insulting, that the publish...

Well, I just finished it this mroning and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. It was good and all, but not up to par with books 3 and 4. I think Rowling is trying to do something really artful and subtle here. At least I hope so - maybe I'm just giving her the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, whatev...

28 Days Later was reviewed in this week's Entertainment Weekly... They gave it a B I think (something in the B range anyway). Sounds interesting.... for me to poop on!

Okay, I need some sleep.

Actually I will probably just sleep and cry when I eventually wake up and see that it is yet another rainy weekend on the east coast. Yeah, uh, could it rain some more? I mean gimme a break! It's almost July and I'm wearing sweats. Actually I was totally unaware of solstice - was that today? I had ...

I'm on page 220 - my husband and I are trading it off and it's his turn with it now. candygirl, thanks for not giving away the spoiler - I haven't heard anything and don't want to! I had heard too much about what was going to happen in Goblet of Fire beforehand (although I read that within about a m...

Don't feel bad. I think I get the towel joke too and I'm just a poser.

My husband just took the test and apparently I'm in a mixed marriage. He got 30%. He also thought of one: if you don't know what some of the geek terms mean so you look up the answers on the internet.

2.5641% - Poser and a lot of that geekiness is by proxy to my husband, who owns the geeky DVD's and made me watch Lord of the Rings more than I wanted to, etc. Alone, I'm just 1.38067% - Poser Though he argues that my belonging to this site should make me at least 5% more geeky. Can you imagine? Hum...
