based on stories and characters created by Winnie Holzman

I gave everything I though I had,
Maybe not enough because it still ended bad.

I don't want to resent you, but I question the truth.
In my heart I know, but my mind doesn't agree.

I opened myself up and let you inside,
I could not find you. Why did you hide?

Was it real?
Did you care?

I want you to mean all that you said.
Still the ending was bad.

Oh too late I can't hold back,
The tears come with no regret.

I cry because I miss what we had,
I cry too much because it ended bad.

I did my part, it is your move.
Will you leave misunderstood?

Or will you redeem your selfish stake?
And try to be friends after the break.

I wish I knew and could say you would call,
But I know you feel regret beneath it all.

Too bad it had to be so sad.
Why is love so hard to grasp?

I can only give so much and get no return.
So I leave you now with these simple words...

Let's take no hate along our path,
Forget the end and the wrath

Tomorrow is another day,
Because I will always love you in a way.

A way you may never come to know,
Only through the blindness you show.

I would have given you the world.
All you had to do was ask.

Bye my first love that has come to an end.
Alone I walk to love again.
