Private Message Problems

Why is it that when I try to send a private message to Jason, it gets send back to me?

That is entirely too vague a question.

What mode of communication are you attempting to use? Email? AIM? Trained rat?

What error(s) do you get?

Is your email client properly configured? Is your ISP on the fritz? Are your trained rats well fed?

Not to rock the boat Danguy but I get the same result when I try to send private. It did work correctly twice but I have tried to send private quite a few times and it just comes back to me.

So my feeling is, whatever happens, happens. K-man

Yeh, happens to me too. I tried yesterday twice to send him a private message and got notification through email that I had gotten one myself, and turns out I had, and it was the same one I sent to him. Maybe he has it blocked or something?

I haven't used the feature, but I have only ever received 1 private message. It was months ago.

It looks like our beloved old forum has some flaws. It won't save new Private Messages so you get an error in return. We will try to fix it, but I have no clue what's going wrong...

We've been planning to upgrade to a newer forum when our site redesign is finished, but this will take a few weeks.

Until then, please use E-Mail or ICQ to communicate privately with eachother.

And *neither* of you have yet told me what form of communication you are using!! I'm serious, please be more specific! Are we talking about email? AIM? Carrier pigeon? Whispering from the next room? Insured post by courier? Ham radio?

They said it the first time, man. "Why is it that when I try to send a private message to Jason, it gets send back to me?" A private message through the forums. LIke, up there where it says "Check Private" is where the PMs are kept. And when you click on someone's name when they make a post and go to their profile section, it has something saying to send a private message. This is what we are talking about.
