Edward Zwick produces "Defiance"

Edward Zwick will write, direct, and produce the movie "Defiance", based on the award-winning book with the same title by Nechama Tec. The book is about the largest armed rescue of Jews by Jews during World War II. The movie started filming in September 2007 and is slated for a 2008 release. Daniel Craig (known as James Bond 007) will star as Tuvia Bielski, the leader of the resistance group.
