kids and ear infections

Post by wicked » Oct 3rd 2004, 2:50 pm

sigh my daughter has perforated her ear drum for about the 4th time...aggggh. I feel like such a bad mom when this happens! Sigh neither one of my kids show ANY sign of an ear infection till the night it bursts. No fever no pain no nothing then suddenly boom...screaming in the middle of the night and puss from the ear the next day :cry2:

sorry just ranting.

Oh, I feel for you. My sister had a ton of ear infections when she was a toddler. I have a more than sneaking suspicion that it was due to my dad's smoking. Thankfully, my mom made him smoke outside the house but I can only imagine how much more frequent the various illnesses would have been without her enforcement of that. Anyway, there was always a bottle of cillin in our refrigerator. I believe she liked the pink one more than the white one.

Look, if this is weird for you, being tutored? I don't mind helping you a little longer.
You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?

Huge ditto here. My sister had so many infections she eventually developed holes in her eardrums. Follow up surgery was not fun.

I had lots of ear infections, I actually have some hearing loss in my left ear from it...which is a pain, but great when the hubby starts snoring  Both my kids get them , both have had the tubes in their ear...Taylor has had it twice.I was just hoping that we could make it through this winter without having to do that again...sigh
