seriously guys, it's not that big a crisis. "Haven't you ever waited for anything before?" We've come this far, Jason's watched all the DVD's, we know for a fact that this is real... I'm still counting my blessings because a year ago the idea that all the episodes of MSCL would ever be on DVD was a complete fantasy. This is the first time a company has ever done this for the fans, there's obviously going to be some problems. But we're still getting them, so I'm still gonna be excited about it.

I don't mind to wait one or two weeks more, but could anyone (Jason, Gord or Rose...) tell us whether the DVD is shipping today (17 Sep) on schedule or when is the next target shipping date?

I don't have a problem with waiting a few extra days - or even a week-
but the reason it annoyed me was just that we were in the dark.

BMG were said to be unlikely to produce them all or whatever by the
shipping date listed on the site, and apparently it takes them usually over two weeks.

This is fine - NO HUGE PROBLEM - but AU don't tell us anything about this.
Were all pretty rational people, and would understand if it was BMG who made the delay, but we get told that there MAY be a delay and that theres NO new ship date.

It isn't a huge problem, no. But it is frustrating. Call me an idiot or a saddo, but i've been counting the days til the 17th and it was just really disheartening to hear it was pushed back...AGAIN.

I know this project is a reality and that were getting it for sure, and i'm grateful for that, but I just want them to stick to the ship adte if they can, and if they cant - tell us!!

Thats all. I actually feel quite attacked here and may not bother to check this forum again. Not out of protest - just don't want people jumping on what I say and screaming at me for it.

sorry to sound harsh, but what's exactly your problem? Waiting maybe a week longer? So what?

I can wait a bit longer and won't die if I get the DVDs some days later.

I'm more interested in getting the double charge back (in the mail I got from Wade, AU apologizes that this even happened and states that they're currently checking all orders to fix the problems) and I would be happy if the TV/Radio Museum-documentary about MSCL would be on the bonus disc.

I guess all of us are getting a little hot under the collar because of the wait and all the other problems associated with this DVD release. When I signed up for the MSCL DVD who knew it would be such a long wait? I didn't that's for sure. I loved the show and will be happy when I get the dvd in my hot little hands.

People need to calm down. Seriously. It's not that deep. If there is a DVD, then wait it out just a bit more. If there isn't, dispute the charges and do all you can to recoup your money. If there are several thousand people who ordered this set, I'm sure between all of us a class action suit can be filed against Another Universe, MSCL.COM, BMG, Jason, etc. If this is fraud, then we, as a whole, have recourse. The main reason I wouldn't freak out too much is because there is plenty of evidence on these boards and many witnesses.

If I were anyone involved with this, I wouldn't even announce another release date for this set. I would let the set arrive and surprise everyone. The problems are compounded even more with most people who ordered complaining about Another Universe. It's apparent that Another Universe lurks on the board and watches what everyone has to say. If they want, they can push things back as much as they want to make our lives miserable. I personally will do my best to wait this out another week or two.

At that point, some major heads will roll. At the very least, I'll be writing to BMG to confirm the legitimacy of this project and if I don't receive that confirmation I will contact class action suit lawyers and my own legal counsel. I don't think anyone wants to go through a drawn out legal battle. I think we all want this set to ship out this month. With that in mind, hopefully everyone will back off and let this happen.

Rapid fire insults and postings won't solve anything. Think clearly and coherently, make use of critical thinking and apply it to this situation. While it's quite difficult to be supportive of continuous delays, imagine what would have happened if we waited blindly without knowledge of estimated ship dates and production detail. We would get the set when we got it and that would be it. This is like waiting in line for tickets for a concert. I'm really hoping I'll be up at the window soon and have my tickets in hand.

Regardless, if it turns out there are no tickets (to take the analogy further), there will be hell to pay. If there truly are so many people involved in the pre-ordering of this set, there will be an equal number of lawyers, letters, and actions against the offending and fraudulent parties. Arguing amongst each other won't solve the problems. Working together--whatever that means, whether waiting it out a few more days, or putting together a class action against the entities involved--for our common cause will. The main thing is you aren't alone in this. Lashing out at each other just separates us. What do we want? The DVD set! When do we want it? THIS MONTH!

And as a result, most of us probably won't see the set until mid-October even if they send it out next week? I'm beginning to think that a realistic date for getting the DVDs in my hands is before Thanksgiving. And if we're lucky, by Halloween.
