The real deal with Another Universe.

Post by Fed Up » Aug 11th 2002, 11:56 pm

I can't take this anymore.

Rumor has it that Another Universe is short on funds. Someone on this board once posted that they were intentionally overcharging people. I believe that this is what they are doing.

Call BMG and ask them if they have your money or if Another Universe has your money. You might be surprised by the answer you receive. Also, ask them if Another Universe is trying to delay the shipment of your discs so they can keep your money longer.

This is all just rumor, but why not call BMG to make sure it is not true? Oh boy, look at the stock price for Another Universe's parent company! http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/quote.jsp?symbol=CMIH

If this wasn't so blatent, it'd almost be funny.

I heard from the VP of sales at BMG yesterday regarding a number of things, one of which almost makes sense now.

He told me he thought someone might be trying to take away the MSCL DVD from us and move it to another company. It won't happen, but that doesn't stop people from trying.

BMG has received the deposit they required, and as soon as they finish the authoring and the give us a ship date, we'll be paying for the balance and arranging to receive them and get them to the customers As Soon As Physically Possible.

Including doing some of the shipping from the factory itself on the day they are available.

Do you know what this means!!!!! anotheruniverse is a brand spanking new penny stock!!!! I didnt know it was traded, so by that link you are trying to tell us that you can buy this stock below one dollar!!!! holy mother of god. this is the the greatest news news Ive heard in months,

You can own thousands of shares of anotheruniverse, and when the price of this stock rises, you can make money , if Im holding say 100,000 shares, Ill be making 100,000 buckS @ one dollar. thank you very much for telling me, I would have never known this company was traded publicy.

There is an obvious reason this company price is low. They are new! from the recent take over, and the current market conditions has brought every company in the world crashing down, You post is meant to hurt this company, but you have made me an investor in this company, EVER HEAR THE TERM BUY LOW, SELL HIGH. lol well if this is a peenystock them chances are that this stock price will SOAR IN THE FUTURE.

Blah. This post has caused me all kinds of problems. I actually think it is pretty tame compared to some of what I read here tonight. I make it a point not to edit any posts, not even the really stupid ones; freedom of speech as they say. However, I suggest looking at the stocks for any companies these days. At the very least, look at your 401K.

Investors have fled the capital markets. Almost all stock prices suck. Pharma doesn't, but it will in 6-8 months. Amazon might have a higher price, but take a look at their debt. To my knowledge, AU does not have that kind of debt burden.

In sum, if you want to buy stuff, you have to buy it from companies, and they are all in the crapper right now. Even BMG axed its CEO a few weeks back. Nothing is really safe. Gord and I were out in Los Angeles, and Universal looked like a big powerhouse. Now, they are trying to sell off many of their entertainment assets.

I'm not telling you to buy AU stock because this MSCL DVD is going to send it through the roof. I'm just saying that it is of little concern to me.

As far as payment goes to BMG, I noted in another thread that I requested written documentation from AU that all of the funds were there. They were. I feel that this thread was a low blow as the poster knew it was going to take me 2 weeks to respond. AU responded, but from reading Ross's comments, I believe that they think I am responsible for the post. For the record, let me state that my wedding, and hence my wedding night, was on the date this thread was created. I would have been divorced by now if I even looked at a computer on my wedding night. 8)

My position is the same as it was before I left. AU has some extremely grave customer service issues to contend with (i.e. overcharges, double charges, responding to emails), but the other charges against them are, to my knowledge, false. If I am going to criticize them, I will continue to do it publicly and in my own name.

Best
Jason
