AU Overcharge

Post by jmwoodward » Aug 11th 2002, 11:12 pm

Hi everyone.
I too was overcharged $115 dollars for the DVD. I called AU 2 weeks ago and they told me it would be taken care of. Still it has not. I plan to phone them tomorrow to try to get some answers. Has anyone else who has been overcharged actually had their credit card account credited?

Thanks,
Jenny

AU overcharged me $115 on July 23, which they still have not credited back. I sent an e-mail to them, but I never received a response. I've already notified my credit card company of the unauthorized charge. I'm just going to let them deal with AU. I don't have the time or patience.

In defense of AU though, I think I recall reading some posts here from a few people who were overcharged but had their money credited back within a couple of days. Supposedly they are going through each order individually and correcting errors. My guess is that they just have not gotten around to my order yet.

Why don't both of you e-mail me at ross@anotheruniverse.com and I'll check on it first thing Monday and get back to you.

In fact, I'll post the results here. Or you can.

In all the times I've asked people to e-mail me, I've only gotten a couple. But I've fixed their problem as quickly as I could.

AU Overcharge

I just talked to Wade at AU. He said I was like #15 on a list of accounts to be credited. He said it should be done by the end of the week. I will probably give them until the end of the month and also notify my credit card company.

Thanks for the help,
Jenny

Contrary to popular belief, we are actually trying to make sure everyone is taken care of.

Mike at AU went through and processed a TON of the problems today. I know he got through all the double-billing and over-charges. Jason and I only gave them access to the customer service site on Friday (and it was late...about 8pm PST) so I think that's a great response time.

I too was overcharged $115 over two weeks ago, and I notified Jason with my pertinent information as he said he would pass my complaint along. The refund has not yet been posted to my account...BUT another $79.98 was withdrawn just today!!! I'm seriously frustrated as I've paid AU through my debit card>>>thus far, my account is in "overdraft." I have been inconvenienced to the bone...but yet a piece of me is stilling willing to "forgive and let live." Can somone give me AU's phone # so I can vent personally??? Or better yet, anyone out there who can help out? I've already overwritten myself to hand cramps in service-request type emails. Thanx.
