Update from Ross through idiots on F--kedcompany.com

Post by Spartacus » Feb 4th 2003, 7:17 am

"Monk" is Jason. "CrackwhoreCEO" is Ross. Bssiesmth is the closest thing to Ross's spokesperson.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is the update? Finding meaningful info on that board is like looking for a needle in a stinking, filthy landfill. I don't know how Spartacus finds the strength.

I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure.
-- Clarence Darrow

I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.

Indeed. I've been reading that thread for 20 mins or so and my eyes started to bleed so I've had to get out. But could someone who has read it summarise?

I've been reading that thread (and laughing) for 45 minutes.

It only further proves that my admiration of Rosenfeld is
well justified, and that I really want to get my hands on a copy
of The Comic Journal.

Hey, it's a Nagel! :D

I'd give my eye tooth (maybe even more important body parts) for a numbered signed print of "Gray Lady" or "Nagel Commemorative #4"

Woops. Scuze me. Sorry. Pardon moi.

Off topic. Never again!

I think I read that exchage on the forums a while ago. I certainly remember the screen grab of the exchange with the arrow on it.

As for Loon's avatar; I always thought it was Christina Ricci...

You win the grand prize!

It is (was) Christina Ricci, with a little help from the "Threshold" effect of GraphicConverter. And a lot of experimentation and copying of various bits and pieces of the original with the effect applied at different levels. Image

Oh, yeah, this isn't a Mac forum. Well, for you deprived peecee people under the thumb of the Evil Empire, GraphicConverter is a nifty little shareware program for Mac that can input any of about 175 graphics formats, and convert them to any of about 55 output formats, plus has lots of other nifty tools.
