canadian and got my dvds!!

Post by hurtstolookatyou » Nov 26th 2002, 6:49 pm

my dvds arrived just now! and for the record, i didn't have to pay any brokerage fees, just $22 CAD of GST for the import.

weird though...i live in vancouver and they shipped them all the way to ontario, then back to seattle, then to vancouver.

I'm in Vancouver and mine arrived this morning. I had to pay $22.89 for taxes, but no duty or brokerage fees.

i got a tracking number on thursday, but it wasn't on the UPS system til friday via the web tracking.

it started to say in transit yesterday and was delivered today.

if you haven't got a tracking number, call AU. They were supposed to ship everything by yesterday, according to Martin Pierre.

from the web site, but from what i see on the boards, don't expect them to answer the phone.

Call us Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm PT
US Customers: (888) 5-COMICS or (888) 526-6427
International Customers: (916) 450-0707
Fax us at (916) 450-0760

also, some ppl have reported (all in the US i think) receiving their dvds, but not getting a tracking number at all. so don't lose hope. :?

I got a tracking number on Friday. UPS was here this morning with the discs, but there was no one home. I called UPS and made arrangements to get them tomorrow.

I owe them $23.68, which is GST and provincial sales tax, but no brokerage fees.

hurtstolookatyou - Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I am hoping that the DVDs will just show up here. When it comes to AU, anything's possible..

I live in Ontario, and got my dvd's from amazon.com yesterday (2 days before the estimated shipping date!!!) I didn't have to pay any tax/customs when I picked them up (?!?!) With expedited shipping they costed about 118$ canadian-not bad, considering AU had charged me 218 canadian....

Canadian and got my DVD's too!

Post by countess_of_wit » Nov 27th 2002, 1:27 pm

I'm in Ontario and UPS just brought my DVD's to my door! I guess tracking down the UPS driver yesterday paid off, I think she rerouted them herself for me. I'm not sure my address change with UPS has actually been processed yet.

Now I just have to make sure they work! I hope they do.

Oops! I was so excited I forgot to mention, I paid $23.68 to get them, for tax, I assume.
