UK customers DON'T cancel, here's why...

Post by orlando » Nov 20th 2002, 6:58 am

Just spoke to VISA. I was told if I hadn't cancelled they could've got my refund under the 'unsent goods' clause since AU missed their promised delivery date. Since I cancelled the only way I can get a refund is if I can get correspondance from them acknowledging the cancellation AND my Credit Card number - I somehow think this will be difficult to get them to do.

UK customers raise merry hell. I have given AU my money, I cancelled, I have no refund, and I have no DVD set. AU has had my money for 9 months, and for over 30 days since I cancelled. You don't have to be einstein to work out that AU are fraudsters. That's exactly why VISA have these departments that do chargebacks. I'd be talking directly to the bank that issues the card, not VISA themselves. Let your bank sort it with VISA; they may have more clout. I don't know.

I have confirmation that I paid by CC (it says so on my statement). I have confirmation that I cancelled (drygrass). I have confirmation that I emailed Ross and Mike a number of times (print-outs). I suppose the bank could maybe argue that this is all circumstantial. But are they really going to call you, their trusted customer who uses their credit card often and always pays up, a liar? I think not.

Sorry, I get angry about things like this. No offence intended.

Rant over.

:)

i have it, and it's mine forever :)

Err, well, whether they actually deliver all the "extras" is another matter entirely.

If they can't even sort out international shipping when the DVDs are sitting in their warehouse, you have to wonder.

Orlando - who did you speak to - what number did you ring?

I figured I had no hope doing anything other than waiting - but this could be the route to pursue.
