UPDATE: DEADLINE HAS PASSED

Post by Jason R » Oct 16th 2002, 9:18 pm

As of the 5PM deadline, neither BMG nor GWhiz had been paid. However, Ross called BMG and said that payment was supposedly arriving tonight.

Not wanting to send an email while a payment could be on its way, I agreed to hold off on sending a mass mail until tomorrow morning. We will know whether payment arrived by the start of business.

PLEASE NOTE: This does not affect the fact that I have severed all ties with this project and with Another Universe. I disagree with how they managed this project (and I do use the term "managed" VERY loosely). A company simply cannot continue to do business in this way.

Jason when did you change the deadline from 6 pm EDT to 5 pm EDT? Also, Martin Pierre is waiting to hear from BMG at 9:30 EDT tonight (or at latest tomorrow morning). I am still waiting word from GWhiz.

What gives?

It may be a stall tactic, but supposedly a payment is on the way. To prove that a payment to BMG is all I've ever wanted here, I am staying out of their way until they determine if it is true or not.

I meant 5 PM, though. I just figured I would stay away from the computer for a while.

What's he doing, going to a loan shark? Is Ross just playing games to prevent the current production run from going to other retailers?

Phelix,

He could give blood for all I care. As long as he has $200,000 by tomorrow morning.

Hey Jason,

Please keep these two things in mind before you send out your mass mail -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guy from BMG just called me, knowing I was leaving work to keep me informed of what is happening.

Ross is CURRENTLY, as I am writting, on the phone with the accounting department. They are working out the details of the payment.

Apparently, if I understood well, neither will hang-up until the payment is officially completed and everyone is happy. As such, they may stay on the line for a little while to wait for the banks to confirm everything.

 Unfortunatly for us, since everyone but the guys at the accounting department about this are leaving for the day, meaning we might only know about this tomorrow morning.

However, before they leave, payment should have been made, and
I will be called around 9h30 EST to confirm if payment was indeed received.

I recommand waiting until tomorrow to declare victory or to abandon.

Hey Cate,

 Trying to work out payment with Ross and will know (and tell) more tomorrow. Hopefullly I will have good news.

Robert

I have no idea what time we will hear from Robert tomorrow. And it appears from the above the Pierre may not know anything definite until tomorrow A.M.

Are you willing to wait until we get definite word from Robert? (no matter how long that takes?)

Cate, I also spoke with BMG. They told me that Ross was trying to find a way to get the money to them. They will know in the morning whether it arrives or not.

I hope it does, because AU seems to have used up 8 lives, 2 magic lantern wishes, and a heck of a lot of "dog ate the homework" variety excuses.

Sorry, Cate-

But I am so tired of delays, that an otherwise calm man (me)
is now on verge doing everything within my legal rights to make life
really really hard on AU and Ross Rojek .

Delay after delay after delay...at some point one has to say,
"I am done!"

Jason, you got your finger on the trigger.....all you have to do is SQUEEZE!!!!!!!! I just checked with the odds-makers in Vegas and there is a BaZillion to 1 shot AU will get the $$$ to bmg by open of business Thurs. Come on already! I used to close mortgage loans and when deadlines HAVE to be met they get met. There are ways to make it happen. We are getting yanked yet one more time by AU. If they couldn't do it by 5pm today why the hell would they get it done by tomorrow or Friday or ever??????? Pull the plug already. Quit giving them slack. Save yourself the headaches.

K-man,

I am not doing it for Another Universe. Even if they pay BMG tomorrow, they have to answer to the fans for a lot of things.

I am doing it for BMG. All they want is to get paid so they can deliver the DVDs. They have been a heck of a lot more patient than I am, and Ross promised that he would send a payment by tonight. I don't know what kind of payments arrive by night, but I don't really care either.

However, I won't lie. The email is already written, and I do think that this will be yet another case of getting jerked around until the last minute. However, it doesn't make too much difference to me if I send it out tomorrow.

12 more hours won't matter one way or another. You don't spend a whole lot of time "discussing" how you're going to pay for something with phantom money. If he had the money the wire transfer would have been sent and received already.

Hey Cate,

You really think Jason hasn't seen Robert and MartinPierre's posts already? He's obviously giving Ross every possible chance to do the right thing.

In my opinion Ross doesn't deserve another chance...This has been going on too long already, and I for one am not willing to wait "however long it takes".

How long are you gonna give Ross the benefit of the doubt? And keep doubting Jason's word? What would it take to make you give up on AU and stop making excuses for them? Just curious, 'cause you seem like the most tolerant person in the universe. (At least, when it comes to AnotherUniverse)

Ross is a liar, and yet some still don't see it.

He reported in here that BMG had been paid for thousands of units
of product already, and some still doubt Jason, and give Ross the
"benefit of the doubt." I would say we are beyond doubt...at this
point benefit of the doubt should be rephrased, "denial even after facts
to the contrary."

Oh Gawd.....

I've been away from the forum for a while and I can see the utter "melt-down" regarding the DVD situation.

If I may recall the last post that I've made, I've mentioned about loyalty and patience.....I guess I was wrong.
There must be an International tribunal somewhere for crimes against humanity. It is in my firm opinion that Mr. Rojek has violated all the trust and understanding of his fellow man and at this point, there is not a thing that he can do to "right" the "wrongs" of his deceptive ploy.
Who the f*** cares about a free tin can and an extra disc at this point?
You, sir, should be "tarred and feathered" for preying on the hearts of all the fans that trusted you.

I cannot believe this s**t!
Now, where the hell did I put those incendiary rounds for my 203.....!!!!!
"Really? Do you think she did? Really? You think she siliconed her lips? Really?"
