Would BMG Confirm or Deny Payment in Here?

Post by MarkSWalker » Oct 16th 2002, 12:47 am

I realize this may be asking too much, but I think in the same way
that we have gotten word from GWhiz themselves, it would to
EVERYONE'S advantage if someone directly related to this project
from BMG could come in here on Wednesday and confirm or
deny payment from AU.

It would make it both harder for AU to deny, when starring at a post
from someone over at BMG that can call them on their misinformation.
As to confirming that the person is who they say they are, well that
shouldn't be too difficult if we call BMG and ask them to clarify that
it is them, indeed, posting information in here.

Just a thought.

I think that would depend entirely on who it was that made the call for confirmation.

And would that person be willing to call GWHIZ and confirm that they are indeed posting on this forum and asking them why they do not wait until Ross gets back from his meeting with BMG (or say give him til the end of next week) before scrapping our lunchboxes?

Just some thoughts ...

Cate, why don't you look up the phone #'s for both BMG and GWhiz and make the calls yourself? Since you are healthily skeptical of the anti-AU posts made on this forum, then if we can believe anyone's posts confirming the payment situations (or lack of payment situations) with either of these vendors, it is you we will all believe!

Go for it!

Well, Martin Pierre phoned BMG this morning. GWhiz doesn't have a toll free number and we've lost enough on this deal (and potentially a lot more to come) so nope it ain't gonna be me who calls California.

I'm sitting on an email to Robert at GWhiz (who could be a packer in the shipping department for all we know  =P ). I will send it after I get more info ... in the meantime, if anyone has any questions for GWhiz that I should add please post them here.

If someone with some spare cash (and a lot of patience) wants to call GWhiz and find out what is going on (and ask them to please hold off a little longer on such a drastic decision ... they have nothing to lose at this point) and post back here that would be great.

Cate, Robert is not a packer in their shipping department, though I am sure he will enjoy reading this.

Cate, I respect the opinion of everybody here. I know that I've said that AU has acted suspiciously, but they honestly have, and they have not done anything to address it either publicly or privately.

I haven't received any communications at all, not even anything ask me to shut up.

I could either take a chance and sound the alarm (because I am pretty darned stressed out about the fact that these DVDs have not been paid for), or just acquiesce and hope everything will turn out all right. However, I am not going to lie to you. I'm pretty pessimistic about the chances that AU will use some kind of last-minute Hail Mary play. It should not have come to this.

If everything will be all right, I should have received some kind of information about how AU thinks it is going to make things this better. I am not satisfied with the answers to date. Add to that the fact that I was told by the CEO that there is something going on on a corporate level, and I became very concerned.

Yes Jason I know all this .. you have said it many times the last few days.

Look, I should have added a smiley in my previous message. I was trying to lighten things a little.

I fully understand and appreciate the seriousness of this situation but Martin Pierre called BMG this morning and they have stated that they expect to be paid, the discs will ship Monday, AU should receive them later next week etc.

This forum has gotten totally out of control and outrageously stressful. I don't see much point, given BMG's info today to MP, to keep escalating the panic.

That may not be what you are intending, but that is the effect it is having.

So, for your health, and mine, and for everyone else's here can't we just calm things down a little? You don't need to answer just about everything with a long litany ... we know already, we've read it all over and over again.

Are you in Manhattan right now? Is the weather still crap? What general area are you in? (no I'm not planning on putting a contract out on you, I'm just curious ... NYC is my home away from home)

If its any consolation, I live in (supposed to be sunny) southern California, and the weather is crappy here too.
If only there were a button somewhere that I could push. To force me to stop talking.

Despite the spate of warm weather (and even the fact that it was pleasantly summery hot on Monday), it is now cold and yukky in NorCal too.

Next thing you know we'll have to change our clocks again - yikes!

Well I am in Iowa right now and it is down right chilly. We might have snow tomorrow morning :)
