That's all folks. I'm heading to bed. :)

Anywhooooo...... I will be back tomorrow morning. Bright and early. Here's hoping payment is received at BMG and GWhiz. If not, I am promising right here and right now NO MORE EXTENSIONS.

That means an email before lunch time. (Which is whenever I hit enter and go to grab lunch)

So Jason, what happens if you send out that mass email telling everyone to cancel before lunch and confirmation of payment comes through from both BMG and GWhiz after lunch?

What gives?

why is it that jason's integrity seems to give you the rub? thus far jason has told the truth and helped "customers" ( shouldn't we be called marks? ) unlike he who shall not be named, rojek. funny, that dysfunction is sooo embraced. yeah, abuser's stop hitting if we're just quiet about it and look the other way.

a little harsh don't you think?

But tell me, how would you feel if you were still waiting because you really wanted the Special Limited Edition DVD Lunchbox set and you received Jason's email tomorrow morning telling you to cancel. You cancel and call your CC company etc. And then an hour or two (or whatever) later word comes through from BMG and GWhiz that payment has been received.

I'm sorry but with that statement you've crossed my personal line from skeptic to shill. There's absolutely no reason to delay for a few more hours. Either payment has been submitted or it hasn't. If it wasn't submitted yesterday when someone supposedly reported Ross on the phone with BMG then it'll be there at the opening of business. If it hasn't why would we expect it to magically show up hours later.

To turn the question to you, when do you feel it is appropriate to let the people who aren't on these boards know what they're involved in? Perhaps it is in your best interest to leave people in the dark. Keep in mind the only people on this board are those who have been interested in the status of the discs. AU's party line is "we almost have the discs and they'll be shipped ASAP". I should know, they tried to sell me that on Monday.

Send the email and let the masses decide for themselves.

Cate, at what point would you be happy for the mail to be sent? Next week, the week after, the end of November?

Ross has already shown that he will tell people what they want to hear (I seem to remember him posting here that BMG have already been paid several times) - whenever the deadline is, it's likely that payment will only be made on that deadline rather than by it.

Frankly, if AU haven't already instigated payment the way they say they have, they probably never will. We all paid up front for these discs and the only possible reason that Ross will have had not to pay BMG was if he didn't have the money available to him - what does this tell you?[/b]

Nothing. It will be Ross's responibility to set the record straight, as it should be. Personally, I think Jason is being too generous. He set a deadline well in advance and Ross missed it. If I were Jason, I would have sent the emails by now, firmly beliving that all this late-night crap is just another ruse.

Jason should send the email anyway because it's probably not common knowledge that the lunchbox and bonus disc aren't shipping with the discs. Those who aren't as rabid as us probably don't even know that they can buy the set at other retailers. Imagine how pissed they'll be when they see it on the shelves at bestbuy.

After all this, why anyone still wants to buy the set from AU is beyone me

erm, maybe like i was defrauded by your friend, rojek which most would still consider objectionable an action. lovely, that a special edition dvd is enough for you to sell out for. must be nice living in denial. how's your property value?

Umm.. I'd call AU and replace my order. He has said the lunchboxes go out to everybody.

Really, Cate. If you're going to play Devil's advocate, at least put some effort into it.

Or a month later. Or next year.

I thought the way you do a month or two ago.

Ever since there were too many problems to just blame bad luck, I became doubtful. And since it turned out that Ross lied to us about at least one thing (he said BMG had already been paid even last Friday, see http://www.mscl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1207), I cannot interpret his promises as just that: empty promises.

Haven't we been through the "should be shipped the day after tomorrow at the latest" stalling routine too many times? It's a classic line to push a deadline by little increments so it doesn't alarm people. Heck, I've used it myself, I'm ashamed to say. (But I hadn't had people's money for more than half a year already!)

Oliver.

Robert, from GWhiz, stated on this board that arrangements are being made and he will have more info to tell us tomorrow. He said he was expecting to have good news. He did not say what time he would be posting. (you can read it yourself)

Please keep in mind that they are 3 hours behind. (an yes, that may make a difference)

We were told earlier that we may not have the confirmation from BMG until 9:30 - it wasn't specified it that was PM TONIGHT or AM TOMORROW as Jason himself has pointed out.

All I am saying is let's just wait for confirmation from BMG + GWhiz.

I honestly do not see the harm in that. ( and honestly don't understand anyone who does)

Delay after delay after delay...at some point one has to say,
"I am done!"

The delays now are waiting to hear from BMG and GWhiz. It is that simple.
