Bold Pioneers on the Frontier of E-Commerce!

Post by Nostradamus » Aug 3rd 2002, 9:32 am

With all the problems floating around about double charges and missing orders and further delays, I thought it would cheer us up to think of this mess in a different light, I.E. the Epic Struggle of the Great Revolution of E-Commerce, the outcome of which will have ramifications on the Free World for Generations To Come! Our initial ventures into this strange new realm of Capitalism have already spawned Fresh Colonies of Entertainment Business and forced the Old World to adapt. Though The Solace Minions Of Orthodoxy would slow us down, the Captains of Industry tremble at our every step!

And let us not forget the Heroics of The Greatest Explorer Of Them All: Indiana Jonesfeld! Already he has journeyed to the rickshaw filled back alleys of Hong Kong to retrieve the Sacred Lunch Box of the Han Dynasty, dodging Nazi spies and Japanese gangsters along the way and rescuing a small, irritating Chinese boy to boot! But his greatest test lies just ahead... The Five DVDs of Bhudda have been stolen by the Evil Holy Man known only as BMG! Now Indy must hack his way through the jungles of Los Angeles to a haunted mountain temple swarming with poison-dart-toting cannibals. Once inside, he then faces the obligatory Pit Of Rotting Corpses And Hideous Bugs And Snakes And Things. After that, he need only break the Curse of BMG, beat up a guy twice his size, solve the puzzle of the Credit Card Keys, rescue that annoying Chinese kid again, run past a Giant Stone Ball, cross the Flaming Pits Of False Rumors, and deliver the DVDs to the starving villagers of MSCL.com. Oh, yeah, I think there might be a hapless Blonde in there somewhere. Good Luck, Indy!

And remember, the next time someone asks you what you do for a living, tell them you're a Bold Pioneer of E-Commerce! :D  :D

I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.

I should have stuck with insurance adjusting. hehe. 8)

99% of so-called "e-commerce experts" are clowns.

:D Thanks much, but give credit where credit is due. I got "Solace Minions of Orthodoxy" from Deep Space Nine, some of the Indiana Jones shtick was from a Mad Magazine article, and the quote above was Homer Simpson's victory dance upon admission to college. He set fire to his old H.S. diploma and while he was singing, the house nearly burned down  . Incidentally, my signature is from the same episode of The Simpsons: (Mr. Burns has used his influence to get homer into college, with one catch) Burns: "You must find the jaden monkey before the next full moon!" Mr. Smithers: "Uh, sir, we found the jaden monkey in your glove compartment." Burns: "And the ice scraper and the fuzzy dice?" Smithers: "They were in there too." Burns, an evil gleam in his eyes, in a slow, ominous voice:
