Another Universe - is anyone home?

Post by DonnaS » Jun 14th 2002, 1:00 pm

I keep getting mixed signals from AU about whether or not they have received payment from my for the MSCL boxed set. The last thing was that they said my credit card was invalid (it isn't) and I faxed them a different credit card information. I have not heard back from the fax and still don't know what my status is regarding purchase of the set. Is anyone else having problems with AU? This does not inspire confidence in me in their ability to actually get this boxed set together.

Yes, there is someone home.

Yes there is, and you know very well that those emails are going directly to me. You just emailed me again maybe 10 minutes ago.

I had responded, but I had apparently not answered all of your questions. I am looking into this. However, you asked "What is
the status of the MSCL box set release?" That is about as general a question as you can ask me.

Please just give me a chance to respond with an intelligent answer from AU. I don't see what I did wrong here. If I gave the impression that I am not working on this, I am sorry. You do have a copy reserved. There is no doubt whatsoever of this fact. However, I don't have access to credit card data. I have to check on this by calling AU. I don't see how this qualifies as mixed signals.

As for getting the box set together, BMG is doing the production, not AU. BMG is one of the 5 largest media companies in the world. I think it will be just fine.

cancel your order

just cancel your and stop whining around

why can't you people just send Jason an e-mail (containing exact information WHO you are, WHAT your problem is and WHAT your order number is) and then WAIT and give him a CHANCE to answer before you come to the forum and start making noise?

I for my part had absolutely no problem with AU on this whole thing (and I live not even in the US). I understand that some mistakes happened, but it's taken care of. And I understand that a lot of people are nervous becauce they paid for a product they haven't by now. It's also a lot of money for me - but it's a first time thing.

So please: think before you rant!

Jason,

As you will recall, I got a letter dated April 22 in which AU stated that my purchase was confirmed. I then got last Friday (6/7) an email stating that my credit card was invalid. I then faxed the credit card information for a perfectly current and valid VISA card to AU. It has been one week and I have heard nothing from the company. They could have emailed me and told me that they received the fax. Why can't someone from AU respond? Why don't I get a confirmation that my credit card information was accepted. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a business to conduct itself in a business-like manner.

Hi Donna. I have the exact same problem. But I don't blame Jason. I just wonder a bit on if they even tried to draw the money again. It has been about a week, maybe not quite yet but soon. But it was very nice to accually get respons from AU, which I did. But after I gave them the new info no one has e-mailed me back.

Jason, it's ok. I'm just waiting...and you know everyone is waiting and it's a blur all this. I understand it's a lot of people and orders to handle. Just keep up with updating us and everything will be fine.

Hey KrokRos,
Just want to let you know that, on 3 different occasions, emails that I sent to you were returned as underliverable.

The message I got was:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at fazer.plu.nu.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

then there was a bunch of stuff that gives away your email address, so I will leave it out. Do me a favor, touch base with me with another email address. I will track whatever response I was sending. (being Sunday, I don't have access to the emails).

Thanks!
Jason
