dvds on the way

Post by eloise » Nov 26th 2002, 7:49 am

just checked the ups website and my dvds are moving - so far they have got to Louisville, KY !!! im excited that they are on the way, but actually frustrated that if Id switched to amazon Id have them by now, also I was one of the first to order in Feb and mine must have been one of the last to leave the warehouse - last night at 19.23 local time!!

let me know when anyone in the UK gets theirs from ups/AU...

I pre-ordered these DVD's at the begining of March and have heard nothing

No tracking number, no e-mail, no double charge refund-f*** all.

The whole reason I pre-ordered was so I could get them as soon as possible but this is beyond a joke, I send e-mails and never get a reply I have done everything I can possibly do to shed some light on this whole mess, I just cant beleive this bullshit.

And to know people who did not pre-ordered have got their sets is just ridiculous.

f*** you AU

@elfin: What the heck are they doing?? That's another package that was sent back to the US! Mine's still in Cologne, but it I wonder how long it'll stay there... the status-report I got says it's in-transit now, but who knows where it'll end up!

Got them.... and my feeling are mixed up....
- i'm sad because i fear i won't get refund on my doublecharge !
- i'm angry cause i just had to pay an extra 36euros to *UPS* for customs taxes !!!! which means that so far, these dvds costs me something like 220 dollars !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (which is way over the price i was ready/able to pay for them)
- i'm impatient cause i'll have to wait till my next visit to my parents to actually see the dvds since UPS delivered them to the adress i gave back in February !

Anyway, i hope that everyone will get them soon, the nightmare is almost over !!

Thanks to everyone on this forum/site who worked hard to make this project possible and who helped us to get infos (AU not included of course)

Hope you get yours soon :)

If it warms your heart, you could read about my black-and-white saga in the 'My Frickin DVDs are FAULTY' thread. That was one of my moments of lesser clarity :P

UPS tried to deliver my set today (I was out for all of 15 minutes!) - instead they put a note through my door saying I had to pay £28.37 to receive the package.

This is made up of £18.37 of taxes plus a £10 "brokerage" fee.

What a bloomin swiz - that adds nearly half to the cost of the box set!

UK UPS charges

Post by aitchjv » Nov 27th 2002, 12:40 pm

Just got my set, thank god. No refund though yet. £28.37 for duty and brokerage.

Where the hell is my tshirt, $30 gift certificate and the all the rest i was promised by Ross. I know my lunch box is in another country, but will i get charged duty on that too?

In the UK here too, and just received my DVDs this morning.

Seeing the package in the hands of the UPS guy gave me an overwhelming feeling of relief. Such relief was rudely shattered when I was presented with the 'duty and brokerage' charge of £28.37 that previous posters have mentioned.

Perhaps I'm overly naive about this, but I can't help feeling absolutely sickened by the size of this amount. Again, I feel cheated, let down and can't help feeling that we've all been taken for fools.

The idea that such charges will rear their heads again when the lunchbox (eventually) makes it's way to our doors simply chills my bood...

You can count on paying more duty and taxes if your bonus stuff ever ships. I wouldn't get my hopes up for a shirt or gift certificate either. You'll be lucky if you have a lunchbox by this time next year.

As for the UPS scans, that looks normal. The discs haven't left the US yet, but the documentation has been forwarded to the country it's going to for processing.

I GOT THEM !!!!!!!!!!!

Post by elfin » Nov 28th 2002, 8:04 am

Finally this happened:
  • AU sent to my old address.
UPS report was diffus (take a look above). -> they first sent "infos" about it - so called "document inspection"
    It moved on the screen.
I called all friends in Germany to call UPS and to let them change the address. (I'm still in Brussels)
    They promised they did it.
    They didnt't.
Tried to deliver it to the old address.
FORTUNATELY nobody assigned!!!!!!!!!!!!! (IN Germany it's allowed to let the neighbour assign)
    Custom unknown.
    a few phone calls ...
    address corrected
Today - 10am - the BOX IN MY MOTHERS ARMS !!!!!!
    Paid 30 Euro ...
:D RELAX - doublecharge refunded (by the bank) - WOW - this was hard work ....

+ lunchbox
+ bonus DVD
+ refunds for the people not credited back yet
+ filing complaints and getting Ross to jail
