hey bug - if you have a multi region DVD player then it should have an option to automatically tell if a DVD is NTSC or PAL (or at least mine does so I hope yours does too.)

try the Player first and then the Telly.

(I paranoicaly I checked mine this morning also.)

I think (from memory) AU said that shipping would be free within the US - and international orders would be reduced by $6 (the cost of shipping internally to the US?) Anything you buy from abroad that costs over £35 is liable to have VAT imposed on it by customs - I paid about £8 + a few quid handli...

I didn't think it would do any good - but I was advised that "fair warning" should be given for legal reasons.

UPDATE:

Still waiting for Petition online to remove all the bogus sigs - plus I have someone looking into tracing the IP addy and seeing if it ties up with whom I/we suspect is doing the flaming. If it does I hope to have a name and address to go with it before long:

Since my DVD player is all packed up ready for my house move i can't check this - but wouldn't it be great if it was the CD that's at fault and they all have to be sent back?

Or is that just me?

I assume you have seen his posts at R - bull... It's obviously him. His "sigs" are obviously bogus and i will have them removed, but dear lord how stupid is this guy? Only a bright spark like Sc would think it was a good thing to sign a petition against AU in an attempt to build it's stocks reputati...

for those of you who are too lazy to follow the link and read this very educational BB - here is a quote from it about RR and AU that i think sums it all up rather well.

"It's a huge clusterf@ck, and I think it's only going to get worse."

crude, but right on the money.

You may have noticed the pt is being spammed by what i presume to be shareholders in AU. People you have to feel sorry for. Not the sharpest tools in the box, as they have to sign and endorse the pt to make the comments, but there you go. We can do without that kind of support so I've asked that the...

Open complaint petition regarding Another Universe - update.

http://www.petitiononline.com/MSCLDVD/petition.html Just to keep you all up to date. Since the Guardian newspaper here in the UK had an article regarding the MSCL dvd release this weekend I have forwarded information about the petition to the entertainment editor. The Guardian also have a consumer r...

In at least 2 instances instead of "triple charges" it says "treble charges". I think it's more a question of semantics than a spelling error - treble and tripple more or less mean the same thing. And you are welcome - it was a team effort and eveyone who signs becomes a part of that team. I've wor...

If you run a site of your own, or a weblog or anything, link to the petition. The more links that go to it, the higher up the petition will go on search engines. Search engines - *slap head* - I will register it on search engines at some point over the weekend. Thanks again J. I'm going to hit the ...

when you say that "many have not been refunded" ... it seems to me that the word 'many' is too vague. Not picky at all it's a good point. We would have loved to have been more brutal and said 100s and 100s - but felt it best too keep it general - as we can't prove how many people have been shafted ...
