As far as the "half a year" controversy goes, could it be possible that Angela and Rayanne had been friends for a few months prior the pilot? Perhaps that is just where the story starts because that is when Angela decides to dye her hair and really begins to change her outlook on life. I haven't gon...
I think ForgiveMeLove hit this one right on the nose. I completely agree with her. I think we tend to forget our ignorance as teenagers as we get older. That ignorance often annoys us even within ourselves. How many times have we all looked back asked ourselves "What was I thinking?". I think Angela...
I've been having a hard time jumping in on the discussion of this episode, so I went back watched it again trying to come to some conclusions. I found myself a little bored from the time Brain traps them in the school to when they leave the next morning. With the exception Rayanne and Brians convers...
Thanks candygirl....I assumed this topic had come up before, but I hadn't found the threads on it. I was mainly interested in what the name usage meant to story and what it symbolized, if anything. I think has more importance than just being one of those little things that make the show special IMHO.
Why all the first and last names? Why is Jordon always refered to as "Jordan Catalano" and Hallie is always "Hallie Lowenthal"? Seems to me that after a period of time there wouldn't be the need to use Jordon and Hallie's full names. I'm not sure the reason for doing this is the same in both cases, and i'm assuming it isn't. But why...
I guess the whole "major", "minor" concepts were just absent in my high school. I graduated 5th in my class and knew about AP classes and taking classes at the Community College while you were still in HS (though i must admit i wasn't much for taking them), so I guess i just assumed I would have run...
If anyone cares, Brian had a PC in his room, It was a Mac. You know the one with the little like 8" screen and the floppy drive and tower biult right into the monitor. Most of them only did black and white. You can see it in "Life of Brian". I feel like such a nerd knowing this, but my school had ro...
I like in "Resolutions" when everyone is working out what their resolution will be and Jordon is trying to determine if it's new years. Typical Jordon, a little late on everything trying to coordinate his own little world with reality. Though I must admit the "what's your major" question is most ext...
I've read through all the postings so far and i'm surprised that no one has mentioned the opening sequence of the episode. Maybe teachers have a hidden life. Where they're actually___like human. Where they have, I don't know, dignity.___Or maybe not. This is one of my favorite openings where it flas...
Soundtrack SuggestionsI've been working on a similar project, but i'm just selecting acoustic versions of songs from the same time period as the original airing not necessarily associated with the show. I thought these songs fit well with the whole mscl theme. Toad the Wet Sprocket - "Somethings always wrong" or "All I w...
