Re: Bogus, dudeSoma, thanks for the info. It would be nice to have that shirt, but not for $100.
Jack
Re: I have that shirt.Tracey,
That's a brilliant idea! I say we do it! "When you mock me with your monkey pants, it hurts to look at you"
Re: I have that shirt.Mia, you have a "print" of that shirt? With all the stuff written on it? How do I get
one? Your best buddy, Jack
I'm here too!Tracey, Mia, how the h--- are you two? We gotta get a topic going. Let's see,
let's see. Well, can't think of one just now (you know they say the mind is the second thing that goes). Okay, well, come on everyone, respond! Where are you all? Respond! Don't leave us hanging in cyberspace. Jack
Re: SoundtrackChristina,
Read 'Oldguys' reply to the post 'They call themselves fans', for details on the fan created "Complete Soundtrack". It completely rocks. You will love it. Jack
Tom Irwin and Gary SiniseLast night, July 3rd, I was watching a program called "Signature" on the People Station. It was an interview with Gary Sinise, about his career, where he started, the path he took to get where he's at, you know, the usual stuff. In 1974, he apparently dropped out of college (I didn't see the whole t...
Re: Favorite MSCL MomentI don't know, but since we're on the subject, I do know that TV Guide voted "Life Of Brian" one of the 100 greatest episodes of television history. That's a powerful statement. One short-lived TV show having both, one of the most romantic moments and one of the best episodes of all time. Incredible....
Re: Favorite MSCL MomentThe moment you describe is considered one of the 100 most romantic
moments in television history. I cannot remember who compiled the list. Jack
Re: CampKatie, "Meatballs" is a great movie! I think it's Bill Murray's first film actually. It came out in 1979 and I saw it at the theater probably six times that summer (yeah, remember, I'm older than dirt). Now I need to caution you that it probably really doesn't reflect camp life, in fact you might fi...
Re: Hi there!Katie, My only exposure to summer camp was the movie "Meatballs" (the original one, all the sequels stink). So, are you a counselor there? Do you have your own room or do you have to sleep in a barracks-like room? Are there daily activities that you have to do, or can you do what you want? "Curious ...
Re: Names of episodesKatie,
The titles have to be real, since they've put them on the videotapes and the DVD. Jack (the observant one)
Re: Who sings Blister In the Sun?"Blister In The Sun" is by the Violent Femmes. I don't know which of their CDs
would have it, but there are two versions of the song on the first Grosse Point Blank soundtrack CD. "Always Staying On Top Of Things", Jack
Re: Number EightNo I didn't notice that. The number 3 has popped up, that's obvious, but 8...hmmm
...I'll have to ponder. Jack
Re: Interesting conversationYes, Mia, I have listened to the audio quotes and the emotion in Brian's voice is heart-breaking. It's apparent when you see the videos, but you hear it more-so when you're not distracted by the moving-pictures (not that the moving-picture's a distraction, but -- you know what I mean). Especially, d...
Re: Interesting conversationI don't think Jordan is really boring, but I think Angela would eventually becomed bored with him, because she does need someone who's more of a conversationalist. This is apparent in the final episode when Jordan uses Brian's words and Angela says, "Good, now we can have a conversation." "We just d...
