Re: Summer Travel

I was surprised at how much I liked Hong Kong. I was going more out of obligation than any real desire to go for the sake of going, but it was very clean, efficient, and full of stuff to do. The difference in customs and airport security there and back in the U.S. was amazing. Here it's a slow, long...

Lisa Waltz on 90210 (2010)

Lisa Waltz was a guest star in the season three premiere (Senior Year, Baby). She played the person who interviewed Annie for an internship. Seems like a small one scene role, right? But later in the episode, she calls someone to say that Annie is perfect because she is desperate enough to Do It. Du...

Re: Winnie Holzman: New TV project for ABC Family ("Huge")

I love that Paul Dooley's interaction with Will is a shade of Angela/Graham where teaching her how to cook is a sign of love.

In this behind the scenes clip, you can see a huge MSCL poster on the wall at the very beginning:

Re: Winnie Holzman: New TV project for ABC Family ("Huge")

I'm finally caught up on the first seven episodes, and I really like this show. Although I do love some of the shows that MSCL alumni have created/been involved with (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, Wonderfalls, Roswell, Relativity), this is the one that feels the most like MSCL. The others had wel...

Re: Winnie Holzman: New TV project for ABC Family ("Huge")

You can also watch Huge on hulu!

I just started watching the pilot and I'm already seeing shades of MSCL. The main character has the requisite alternate hair color (purple streaks this time) and I think I've already spotted the Brian: "It's, like, optional."

Re: Summer Travel

emmie, it's so good to see you here again! I haven't seen the Ken Burns documentary on national parks, but I've been watching the one on baseball! How far are you willing to travel to hit these parks? Yosemite and Yellowstone are always the two big ones. I have a weird bias both for and against Dena...

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

I recently finished The Bedwetter by Sarah Silverman. I started to realize a few years ago how much I like biographies and autobiographies. Maybe I'm just too lazy to find new fiction books!

Re: Parenthood

I was never a fan of Dax Sheppard, but I kept thinking there had to be something about him if Kristen Bell liked him.

Re: Could Angela actually forgive Rayanne?

FYI - there are several existing threads that discuss what would become of Angela and Rayanne's relationship: Would Rayanne & Angela's friendship ever been the same? Rayanne (?) --- a real friend? Who betrayed angela more? Rayanne or Jordan? the contradiction that we call Rayanne How did you continu...

Re: The Most Awesome Thing I Saw on TV This Week - by Kim

From a recent recap of The Hills : Meanwhile, McSaveYourself calls a sit-down with LiLi Lutz to clear up Brody and Kristin's accusations. LiLi Lutz tries to be all, "We're not in high school anymore!" Oh honey, if you think that's true of this world, then you got off on the wrong L.A. bus stop. This...

Re: Friday Night Lights

I started watching again this season (and honestly, despite my earlier post, remember NOTHING of the episodes I watched the first season). I don't have DirecTV so I just watched The Son (4.5) and holy crap. I cried and cried and then cried some more. If the kid playing Matt Saracen doesn't get an Em...

Re: Wicked

HA! The show was supposed to close months ago, but they kept extending the run and my husband decided to get tickets as a surprise for our wedding anniversary which means I FINALLY got to see the show, almost seven years later. Better late than never, I say! Since I couldn't see the show the first t...

Re: Wilson Cruz in Rent

I found this old interview with Wilson Cruz when the Benny cast of Rent was in LA back in 1997. Nice interview, some backstage stuff, and NPH singing!
