Dagger. I'm kind of surprised about the venom of the comment. it seems horrible to say it, but i wasn't surprised. it's completely true that girls can be unspeakably cruel to each other when they feel jealous and insecure and threatened. Speaking of which, I absolutely loved the subtle brilliance i...

Especially after reading the "Angela's World" essays and the take the author has on the significance of food on this show (especially when it comes to Graham, and the feeling of comfort and security that comes with food), to me this episode has so many added layers to it with the constant references...

"Start with the basics. Even if it seems to basic, start with that." He delivers that line so perfectly. Very cute. awww. loved that line. i'm sorry, it's years later, i really should be over my little crush on jordan, but i just can't help it! when i watch this show i just see everything thr...

It would be great if Brian could have said, "You did damage to me because I love you." However, Brian can't bring himself to say it. Nah, I loved the heaviness of that silence. It was like daring Brian to say something, and whenever I'm watching it I'm torn between whether he should say it or wheth...

just to make one really quick comment... I do love how all the students in the band go crazy and get out as much as they can after the teacher instructs them to "put their instruments away." That always struck me as very realistic. OMG, yes! this moment always got to me cuz it's just one of those ti...

i agree that it was for dramatic emphasis. it has this real oomph to it when it's signed not just "Jordan," but "Jordan Catalano." Added to that the fact that it's Brian narrating and saying his full name. EXTRA OUCH.

wow... thank you! i love that shooting script exerpt. JORDAN, across the hall, is staring at her. Shane and one of the other buddies flank him an either side, whispering words we'll never hear. Jordan doesn't seem to hear them either. damn. see, it's things like this that make me refuse to believe t...

i agree about the parents actually adding a lot of humor to the show, which is kind of ironic when you think about it since it seems like a weird role to play... but when the teenagers are all full of angst that they hope they'll just outgrow, it always was pretty funny to cut to the grown-ups that ...

excellent response, ForgiveMeLove! I completely agree and felt the exact same way. there were definitely a number of things Angela did that just made me cringe, but it wasn't because she was annoying, it was because she was familiar. I just completely remember doing something like that or thinking s...

"COMPLETE SEX." That always cracked me up. I was always like "as opposed to.... INcomplete... sex??" ;) That was funny about the "what guys? are they famous or something?" reaction. I was wondering that too... but i think that's what so funny. What do you mean "are they famous?" Hello, this ...

yep, i don't think either of them suck. jason and ross, THANK YOU. i mean, let's face it, us not getting the dvds this week is just a disappointment or slight inconvenience at the most, but there are people that seem bent on making jason and ross' lives a living hell. I think they're under a lot mor...

Thank you very much for the info, Ross. :) i'm really excited to hear about the MTR footage, i've been to one of those sessions for another TV show, and it was really interesting. Was this while the show was still on the air? Were they able to get the entire ensemble to do that together? Sounds awes...

I'm still counting my blessings because a year ago the idea that all the episodes of MSCL would ever be on DVD wa...

awww, that was a great fanfic line, Brainiac. Made me melt a little bit. ;) Although I gotta say I always loved the fanfics that had Brian starting to get involved with Rayanne. And congrats on getting "your Angela." That's so sweet (sorry, i don't wanna get all gushy here, but i'm such a sap,...
