It's worth mentioning at this point that although we all agree brokerage fees are a ripoff, the ten quid that UPS charged is actually less than the 13 quid you would have been charged by Parcelforce.

Anything above £18 (asides from books I believe?!) is liable for customs, and you always need to take that into consideration when ordering something outside of the EU, unfortunately. £18 is for purchases. You're allowed gifts of up to £35 (although in practise, a parcel marked as gift is very rare...

I'm in the uk and got my tracking number on Friday so fingers crossed! Does anyone in the UK have an idea how steep the customs duty might Be? excise duty on DVDs is 3% VAT of 17.5 % is then due on the cost of goods, the excise, and the cost of shipping. So assuming its got say ten quid's worth of ...

When you buy (or rent) the music for a piece that gives you the right to practice the music but not perform it. That is a seperate negotiation. Even if you are giving a benefit concert or the money is going to charity, you are still required to pay royalties. Can I still sing in the shower? Andy.

cancellation backlog vs shipping

I've got a question. BMG are alledgedly going to ship 5000 boxsets to AU on monday. AU will rush these out to customers, press-ganging workers families to help out. AU have a massive backlog of cancellations, both from drygrass, and emails to customerservice or to ross. How's that gonna work? Let's ...
