Re: What would have Brian said?

I too always assumed he was going to tell her something similar to what you said, Lacy, or,"It looks bad, but may-..., maybe it's not what it looked like. I'm sure it's ok." You know, trying to stumble through a reassurance for her, that her dad probably wasn't just doing what it looked like. But no...

Re: Jordan's first feelings for Angela?

OK, I haven't posted around here in a while because I have been lurking elsewhere obsessed by other fanaticisms of my own. But to return to such a great and well developed conversation is fabulous -- my compliments to all of you with your long and interesting thoughts about this topic. I really have...

Re: It's killing me!

Ok, I really have no idea what 'jumping the shark' means, maybe Lacy can explain that one sometime. Anyways, I think Lacy is right about MSCL ending at the right time. Yes it is sad that it ended, I hate that, but this way it ends still beautiful and intriguing, leaving us always wondering and think...

Re: Once and Again

I think Mr. Demetri (pretty sure about this)was the Spanish teacher that covered Angela's English class for a while after Miss Mayhew quit... he's the one that read from Kafka's Metemorphosis in the Zit.

Re: Favorite MSCL Moment

Let me just add this to my other favorites I listed here earlier:

The ending scene of The Zit. I just watched that episode again and I cry everytime I see that ending. It just deeply touches my heart at this point in my life. I love Angela's voiceover there.

Re: Quiz (Which MSCL character are you?)

Well if just changing your sex/gender makes the quiz ID you with a different person, well.... that's just dumb. Hmmm. It was pretty fun though.

Re: Quiz (Which MSCL character are you?)

It was cute... and I ended up as ANGELA, like everyone else so far. Did anyone else enjoy some of the other quizzes there?

Re: new topic? Characters you identify with

Hey, I am a youngest child too! I mention my identification with Danielle further up on the thread. About Angela and whether she knew Brian like her... Hmm. I think she didn't REALLY know. I think over time she realized (on some level) that he cared about her or needed a friendship from her, but whe...

Re: new topic? Characters you identify with

Wow, I'm really glad to see that so many of you added your thoughts to this topic. (yay!) It's very weird for me to admit this, but I NEVER watched our beloved MSCL when it first came out. My mom thought it sounded good and I was horrified and angry that someone thought they could capture what it wa...

Re: What are Lifer's watching these days?

So it seems that I'm not the only BTVS, Angel fan that also hides out here at the MSCL site! YEAH!!! As I have mentioned in a previous post on this thread I have an addiction to Buffy and Angel (as well as an undying love of MASH, Twin Peaks, and of course MSCL, and sporadically an affection for X-F...

Re: Favorite MSCL Moment

As everyone has already mentioned, there are so many beautiful and defining moments that are special. For me the ending scenes of Pressure are splendid, espcially when she rides down the hill on Brian's bicycle. Angela's voiceover right then speaks volumes to me, particularly at this point in my lif...

new topic? Characters you identify with

Ok folks, the DVD set is seriously exciting, I know that... And I always appreciate NightJessi's updates about the airtimes of MSCL actors' other performances (even if they aren't in my time zone).... But come on!!!! Let's have a new discussion. So which characters do you identify with? I, like prob...

Re: Claire Danes in Little Women

I felt that Claire's performance in Little Women was marvellous. I saw it quite a while ago, but it was so beautiful. I just sobbed at that one part when she (Claire Danes as Beth)and Jo (Winona Ryder) are both in Beth's room (I will say no more about that, don't want to destroy that part). It is a ...
