Brian is walking around the streets.
Bri.VO: it's not that I didn't know that I wasn't, you know, good enough for Angela Chase. I've like, known that for so long. it's just... how could I actually think that things could possibly change? how could I let myself think that things could just change.
Brian crosses the street. He's still in a daze and hasn't noticed that a car has nearly hit him. He looks at his watch.
Bri.VO: I should go back to school. they're probably covering something that will actually turn up in the exams. and I'll miss it. God. I can't go back. How can I go back? I can't go back there knowing what she thinks of me. God, and I'm still carrying her books. This is too pathetic.
