added on: 10 Nov 1999 - based on characters created by Winnie Holzman

Brian is still looking over at Angela, who has, for some reason, started cleaning her locker. Brian starts to walk over, and knocks awkwardly on her open locker door.

Angela: hi

Brian: hi

Angela: I'm, uh, I'm just cleaning up my locker.

Brian: you *are*?

Angela: yeah. shut up. (laughing slightly)

Brian stands there awkwardly, not knowing what to say.

Brian: the yearbook should be...
Angela: what were you talking to...

Brian: sorry
Angela: sorry

Brian: go ahead

Angela: no, I was... It wasn't important.

Brian: I guess mine was pretty unimportant too.

Angela: but you know, if we didn't say all that 'unimportant' stuff, we'd never even touch, what you know, matters.

Brian: (looking down)so... is there anything, that, um, matters to you, that you, ah, want to talk about?(snatches a hopeful glance at her)

Angela: I guess ... yeah. I do have some things that I would like to speak to you about.

Brian: is it... the unmentionable?

Angela: (smiles slightly) I guess it would be appropriate to call it that.

Brian: I'm sorry. I don't really know what to say.

A.VO: Brian Krakow, and Jordan Catalano. I've spent so much time with both of them, but neither of them could *ever* speak. Jordan is almost mute, and Brian can only ramble, but I guess that's not entirely true.

Brian: well, here goes. Yes, I wrote the letter, and yes, I did...do mean every word. and you don't have to say anything. because... no. I guess,(smiles slightly) you should say something. Your words can't wound me, only their cause, and the cause isn't something I can control.

Angela: Brian, I loved the letter. and it would be fair to say I fell in love. but with what exactly, I don't know.

Brian: maybe, just the idea of it.

Angela: perhaps, I love the idea of Love.

Brian: I guess, it's just nice, to be, you know, consumed with something.

Angela: but, I have to say, I do have feelings for you, you know, beyond friends.

Brian: you do?

Angela: and I am open to dating now (smiles slightly)

Brian: you are?

Angela: so... what do you think?

Brian: (smiles)You know, I think I'm beginning to like confrontations.
