I like Speeding Cars :)

This forum needs more action, so I guess I'll post random stuff, like my music taste. (I guess you guys discussed everything that there is to be discussed back in the previous decade, but hey, we newbies want to participate too :P)

I was reading this thread and everyone here has a great taste in music :) I was particularly impressed to find people who listen to the kinds of metal that I like (like dTheater and NIGHTJESSI who haven't logged on for a while, it appears). I listen to lots of stuff, but I guess I identify as a metalhead (not the loud rude annoying ones, but the dark philosopher ones :)) I obviously listen to lots of grunge and post-grunge and other 90's stuff. And recently I've been learning to like electronica and such. There's this one amazing band that mixes reflective metal (I just came up with this term :P) and electronica, it's called Ulver and you should check it out :)

I'm also going to an Alice in Chains concert in a few days, so I'm very excited about that :)

Okay, thanks for listening :P

We used to do covers of Drawing Flies and Big Dumb Sex in one of my old bands, only I never have had anything close to Cornell's vocal power. I can hit all the notes, but can't hold them unless I'm singing falsetto.

Some music from me now...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prjVGQWNyE4

Aussie punk rock. These guys were like my idols when I was 13 and I still love them, even after opening for them a few years back.

Love Rage. I saw them a few years ago at a festival here. One of the great sets of my life.

My song for the day:

Without Mudhoney there would have been no Nirvana or any other alternative revolution, I never would have discovered Nevermind and Superfuzz Bigmuff at age 15 and probably be curing cancer or building rockets about now.

May I join the fun? :)

First I shall note that I've been a metalhead for most of my life but recently I've been focusing more on my love for grunge and such (like Alice in Chains, although they're not just "grunge"). However tonight I want to share the following three songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-nNksBWxNI (RHCP, it's very cute and makes me smile for some reason)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Naa1HXeDQ (Matchbox 20... where did the 90s go!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSBknUolwbc (my favorite Toad the Wet Sprocket song, yet not one of their popular ones it seems)

Layne was great! I wrote a bit about why I love him as one of my personal symbol of the 90s in the "What do the 90s mean to you" thing I posted.

Despite being a metalhead like I said, I really like this very non-metal one:

And of course I love Nutshell and that lyric!

Recently I've discovered how great Jerry is too-- I had been underestimating him all these years.
