Wow

Post by ducksqueak » Apr 13th 2003, 8:45 pm

I can't believe this is still going on. If I hadn't gotten my refund by now, I would have made the trip to one of Ross' comic stores myself and stolen the money out of the cash register. (I'm from NYC by the way.) When the cops came to get me, I would tell them I was taking back what was mine. Could they argue with that?

The legal method of taking the money from the cash register is called "till tapping," and believe me, people have tried it.

Can't steal what is rightfully yours - Ross is the one who stole from US.

P.S. Not that I am advocating this approach - we don't have those "eye for an eye" laws in California. The only legal way you could get the money from one of Ross' stores is if you legally won the money in court and took the sheriff with you.

Look, if this is weird for you, being tutored? I don't mind helping you a little longer.
You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?

Indeed.

Here in Canada taking justice in your own hands is specifically a crime.

So I think you've got better chances of saying you were day-dreaming than saying it was your own money...
