The So-Called Word Association
Re:Angela's poem from "The Substitute": Next word: bra strap TomSpeed
Patty: If Rayanne's not seeing you, and we're not seeing you, who is seeing you? Graham: And how much of you? Angela: Dad! Graham: Oh, I'm sorry! I asked a question about your life, didn't I? Woah, what came over me? http://www.last.fm/user/TomSpeed/
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationAngela kept noticing her teacher tugging at her bra strap. Sorry I forget the teachers' name right now!
Next word: Pirate RM "You're so beautiful, it hurts to look at you."
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationGraham dresses in a pirate costume in "Halloween." Next word: ladder TomSpeed

Next word: Rush Limbaugh
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationNext word: Rush Limbaugh
Hallie: So what do we think of him? Graham: Stefan Dieter? Hallie: No, Rush Limbaugh! Graham and Hallie discuss their cooking instuctor during class in Self-Esteem. Next Word: Surgically There's so many different ways to be connected to people.
There are the people you feel this unspoken connection to, even though there's not even a word for it. There's the people who you've known forever, who know you in this way that other people can't, because they've seen you change... they've let you change. Re: The So-Called Word AssociationBrian: They've been holding hands for like two weeks. I mean, it's like their hands have been surgically implanted.
Next word: Buttermilk Re: The So-Called Word Association"I bought buttermilk?" Graham to Patty, in the morning, just before Angela shows up with some muffin (Strangers in the House #8) Next "term": Throwing Copper Re: The So-Called Word Associationwell, since it seems kind of hard to get, some advice on the last one:
- it's not a "word", but some "association" (for something that ain't to be said but still heard) - there's a bed involved - it's been "invented" in the same state our protagonists live in hope that helps...
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationI have no thoughts for "throwing copper." I'll keep thinking about it. In the meantime here is a new word: Bisque
There's so many different ways to be connected to people.

Re: The So-Called Word AssociationThrowing copper
This one has had me stumped for months! I tried to come up with all sorts of things; for a while I thought I was on to something when I translated "throwing copper" into "pitching pennies". I kept trying to find a scene in which kids were playing that game in the background but I was unsuccessful. Speaking of playing in the background, I saw "The Weekend" recently and heard an old Live song in the background. I thought to myself, "I remember this song. . .what album was it on?" Then I realized it was on the Throwing Copper album! This must be the connection, but since there's already a prompt of "bisque" out there I don't want to introduce a new one. Still, I'd love to know if I really figured it out or if I've just been done in by my own cleverness.
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationThrowing Copper is the name of the album on which "I Alone" appears. The band's name is Live. From the So-Called Soundtrack: http://www.mscl.com/music.html TomSpeed

although it's been a longer while ago... you're right on the Live-CD (just like Tomspeed already wrote). The association is: #18 (the weekend) - scene with the bunch of them sitting in the bedroom, trying to figure out how to solve the on the hand-cuffs - the music playing on the radio/tape is "Alone" by Live. So you've figured it out - 100% .
Re: The So-Called Word AssociationWe need a new word or this thread will die.
