Is TV rubbish in the autumn?I thought so too at first, but the show has some very interesting surprises. The pilot is a two hour episode - the first 20-30 minutes are exactly how you describe it - "over-acting, soap opera-ish melodrama bad" and that's where the show will loose a lot of viewers. But then things get crazy and there's a lot of blood... Unfortunately (IMHO), from what I heard, J.J. Abrams already gave in and removed some of the more graphic scenes from the pilot episode for the final version. I agree completely. I have only seen a few eps, but this show is great.
Hello once again people. How about filling in the unfilled in. Who's left or been axed? Been a member since sometime BR (before Ross)
Re: Hello once again people. The Loon is back! Welcome back!
That was actually already last season (2003/04 - this thread is pretty old and got revived last month). Adam Brody (Lane's boyfriend) left for "The O.C." (very wise career choice IMHO), Jared Padalecki ("Dean") and Milo Ventimiglia ("Jess") were supposed to leave the show for good, but came back later in season 4. Dean will probably even become a regular again in season 5. David Sutcliffe (Rory's dad) left for "I'm With Her", but that show got cancelled, so he will be back in season 5 of "Gilmore Girls". Madeline and Louise (Rory/Paris' friends from school) also left the show. It was unclear last year, how many scenes Paris and Lane would have because they were supposed to go to different schools than Rory. But they had as many scenes as in earlier seasons.
Ah yes. One Tree Hill.
I thought it was going to be another... pick a show ripoff. Turned out to be something quite different with a likeable cast. I heard the stats for one of the big 3 networks which had the number of lame comedies way down this season. But then i thought about it. I regularly read where network execs say how hard it is to get a drama going. That's when it hit me that all those stinker comedies aren't being traded in for dramas; but unreality shows. P. U. start dates fall 2005I did this already last year, so here are the start dates for this year's fall season. (Don't mind the upper case titles, I copied and pasted them from various press releases).
