All agree that this set contains every episode of the series, including two unaired episodes. The unaired pilot is also reportedly on this release for the short-run show that starred Seth Green, Eugene Levy, and of course Greg the Bunny himself (voiced by Creator/Exec Producer Dan Milano).

Taking the whole thing a step farther, we have word from readers like Blaine Dowler, which we've verified, that Diamond Previews (the preorder catalog from the comic book distribution company) has written it up as arriving in October for a list price of $26.98.

Awesome, awesome news. I loved that show. I will keep my fingers crossed that it makes it to DVD. Never saw the pilot or the unaired episodes. A friend of mine who has seen them says they are pretty good.

Remember Greg the Bunny? It was a show that had high hopes, but only lasted 11 episodes, leaving 2 "in the can." Now Fox is releasing all 13 episodes on 2 DVDs on October 19th, with lots of extras for fans.

I would buy Greg the Bunny. But I am broke and way behind on DVD purchases. I still haven't gotten Northern Exposure yet. Where the hell are the Parker Lewis Can't Lose DVD's already????? Witchblade??? And why can't Blockbuster rent me OZ season 3? Bastards!!!!

Well, the good news is that you have two whole months to save up for Greg the Bunny!



I think the reason that Blockbuster doesn't rent Oz is they have a policy against NC-17 rated stuff, unlike the Wherehouse and other rental places. I believe Blockbuster only has an R-rated version of Showgirls rather than the theatrical release. I am on disc 2 of Oz season 3 - good stuff. I'm on Netflix though - they have no problem with dirty movies. My boyfriend says someone should start a Netflix type service specializing in porn.

Fans will recall that Greg got his big break hosting a movie showcase on IFC in 2001 (after debuting on New York public access in 1999). The bunny's FOX series, which co-starred flesh-and-blood actors Seth Green, Sarah Silverman and Eugene Levy, was cancelled after only seven episodes, a decision that still rankles dozens of viewers.

The IFC special, which could evolve into a new series run, will feature appearances by Green and Silverman as well as Adam Goldberg, Lou Ferrigno and IFC regular Jon Favreau, host of the channel's "Dinner for Five." The special will pick up two years after the end of Greg's series, finding the bunny humiliated and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, seeking solace with fabricated friends Warren the Ape and Count Blah in Las Vegas.

"'Greg the Bunny' was this tiny thing on IFC that became this huge series on FOX," says Alison Palmer Bourke, IFC's vice president of development and production on original movies and specials. "We always kept up our relationship with the creators, so when the opportunity presented itself, we thought 'Why not?'"

Bourke will join "Greg the Bunny" co-creators Sean Baker, Spencer Chinoy and Dan Milano in executive producing the special.

Personally, I'd love so see Charmed finally on DVD, or any format for that matter. It's a very successful show, so I don't understand why there hasn't been more merchandise for it yet. I'm pleased about the books though.

It was over a year ago that TVShowsOnDVD first brought you word that Charmed - the most popular unreleased title in our voting - would not make it to DVD until 2005. There have been rumors on the internet for a couple of months now that said we would see the first DVDs in the second month of that year. We kept quiet about that, because they WERE just rumors, and the folks at Paramount didn't know if the release would make it out in that timeframe or not.

Today Paramount Home Entertainment officially announced that Charmed - The Complete 1st Season IS on the February schedule. An exact release date was not given just yet, but we anticipate having this in the not-too-distant future. No other details are available just yet, either, but stay tuned because we're as anxious to provide them as you are to get them!

One last thing: according to the rumors, Paramount planned to get future releases out every three months: February, May, August, November, and so on. We don't know for sure that this is the studio's release plan, but the pattern it represents is very similar to that of other hot TV-on-DVD releases from them, including today's announcement of MacGyver. Stay tuned!
