Hmmm.... good question. I'll attempt this one. These are in no particular order.

Wouldn't it be Nice? - The Beach Boys

One Fine Day - The Shirelles
After All - Cher and Peter Cetera
Dancin' in the Dark - Springsteen
Leather and Lace - Stevie Nicks and Don Henley
Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
Baby Love - The Supremes ( Just started playing on the radio after I typed it out. Freaky.)
Don't You Forget About Me - Simple Minds
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morrissette
Making Love (Out of Nothing at All) - Air Supply
Blister in the Sun - The Violent Femmes
Hurts So Good - John Mellencamp
Brown-eyed Girl - Van Morrisson
I had to Say I Love You, In a Song - Jim Croce
Take On Me - Uh-Huh
Head Over Feet - Alanis Morrissette
No Rain - Blind Melon
Ain't to Proud to Beg - The Temptations
Why Do You Build Me Up, Buttercup? (?)
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Kissing You - Desiree

That's all for now. :?

GREAT SONG PICKS!

The Chiffons (not the Shirelles) sang "One Fine Day" - and I only know this because it's one of my favorite songs!

An interesting factoid - the Shirelles and the Chiffons both released "Tonight's the Night." The lead singer of the Shirelles cowrote the song, so of course they recorded it, but the manager of the Chiffons thought it would be good publicity for the two groups to "fight it out on the charts." Both versions were released on September 12, 1960.

The Shirelles version reached #39 but the Chiffons reached only #76.

In defense of the Chiffons, their lead singer was only 14 at the time and the two back up singers were 13 - and "Tonight's the Night" was their first single.

Two years later, the Chiffons reached #1 with "One Fine Day."

See, you really CAN find anything on the internet!!

:D

I only saw Kristin Hersh with Throwing Muses when they opened up for REM on the Green tour.

Good show then. Never a big fan of her solo though.

Hmmm. :?

Hasn't been a whole lot of music since the early 90's i've even liked. (at least not on radio around here)

Gonna have to give this one some thought...

How do people know so much music and so many bands with wide ranges of style? Sheesh!
