So Jason any decisions on your next DVD project?

Post by Sammi » Sep 28th 2002, 9:02 pm

Since hopefully this project will be finished soon, do you know what TV show or speciality DVD will be.

How will we learn about those coming attractions? 8)

Will the MSCL-forum forever have the "Jason Rosenfeld-Special-Product"-forum? Or will there be a mailing-list or something like that?

I'm sure many TVonDVD fans would like to know about your future projects, but it's unlikely that all those possible products are going to be appealing to all MSCL fans.

So any news will be much appreciated at any time. :)

no way in hell i'm going near that show until they change music publishing laws for DVD. would be a pain in the ass to clear all of that music right now.

Jason,
Hehehehe! You are a far better man than I am. I can't even imagine pulling off this amazing task, let alone trying to do it AGAIN, but you can't blame a *BEN* for trying! ^_^ I've never posted in here before, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I was only single charged and waiting very quietly and patiently for my set whenever it comes. After that though I imagine myself talking to it, and taking it to work with me, and introducing it to people.

That leaves out a lot of TV shows (ie anything on the WB) now that the current move is toward background music that's more than just instrumental by a resident composer.

Brian, we're not talking about wallpaper here, are we.

Since I help out a bit at the site, I think it's safe for me to say that - WHATEVER Jason's next project would be, as long as it's TV-related - you will find a news article about the announcement of it at TVShowsOnDVD.com!

That IS Gord's site, y'know. ;)

@David Lambert: Nice to know. Since TVShowsOnDVD.com was the site, where I first learned about the MSCL-Box, I have no fear I'm going to miss any J.R.-product (thats Jason Rosenfeld, not Mr. Ewing  ).

As for fututre products: I think this kind of distribution will be limited to "the whole thing(->series) in ONE box"-shows. So, a series like Roswell (which enjoyed 3 seasons) probably won't be distributed in such a limited way.

My suggestions: "Max Headroom" (14+1 episodes) & "Space: Above and Beyond" (one full season, 24 eps.) 8)

Anybody else closing their eyes, crossing their fingers, and praying that it's HOMEFRONT?

*crickets chirping*

Oh, just me, huh. Oh well, before this project I had zero hope of Homefront ever coming to DVD. Now I just have, like, almost no hope. But I'm feeling pretty good about my chances of someday owning a MSCL boxed set.......

Three words, even though I know it will never happen:

I agree, Freaks and Geeks would make a good DVD project. I would definitely buy that! Such a good show that just like MSCL found its way to cancellation land.

The folks at DVDaria have several thousand E-signatures on their petition, though Daria would be a music clearance nightmare... :?

Hey Jason! A collective DVD set of THE STATE would get a huge response. There Fanbase is as big as My so called life, maybe even bigger . . .
