~GED~

Post by Angela_Catalano » Nov 8th 2004, 3:50 pm

Well after the bad year I have been having.. Things finally started to look up! I started that 8 week job training/Ged prep course, And this Friday I graduated it. I got a certificate for finishing the class, and A perfect attendence one which only me and one other girl got.

But thats not the most exciting part for me. Well I was in this class They paid for me to take my GED October 18th and 19th. The day of my graduation I came home and wasnt expecting my results for another week or more. I got my Ged results and I PASSED!! Not only did I pass I passed 450 pts above what I needed to pass it!! That was very exciting for me. Now im probably going to go to a business school in the spring.

Now I have a diploma before my whole class would have graduated and 2 monthes b4 my 18th bday!

Congrats, Angela_Catalano! :D That's really tough to do... taking the GED. My mother worked in a high school diplomacy program at the technical college before switching to adult reading education, so she has told me that it's tougher to take the GED than it is to finish up the last months of high school. You wrote somewhere you had a rough year though, and you had to drop? I can't exactly remember... but I think that was you.

Congrats again! Good luck with college!
Um, in my room, one seam is a little off and I stare at it constantly. It's, like, destroying me.

Congratulations Angela_Catalano!
I'm glad your year has started to turn around and will likely end on a positive note. Hopefully business school will still leave you time to stop in and post here. Good luck.

Congratulations, Angela! Business school is great, but, have you given college much thought? Don't set any glass celings for yourself, kid, and don't accept the ones others might hand you. Go for your dreams. While you're this young, the world is completely open to you. ^_^
