Lisa Waltz on Nip/Tuck (2004)

Post by kappster » Sep 26th 2004, 10:57 pm

The actress who played Hallie Lowenthal was the patient of the week on Nip/Tuck tonight. 9/26/04. Just caught the end of it, but there she was.

I just saw the end of the episode too - she played an abused woman who claimed her husband didn't break her nose.

I thought she did a really wonderful job. Her character was so depressing and I wanted to slap her. It really was a sad story. But you could almost taste her lonliness and weakness. I really enjoyed her performance.

For those that that watched it:
Her husband was getting out of jail for killing their baby son by throwing a toy at his head, and he also broke her nose. So, Hallie went to the doctors to get a nose job, b/c she was finally "over" it and wanted to move on. Well, then she gets back together with her husband, and he wants a new nose to change his looks, so no one recognizes him anymore b/c he is a killer and wants to move on. Jackass. Anyway, at the end, they come back, and duh!, he hit her again and broke her nose, so she wanted Christian and Sean to fix it again. But she insisted that he didn't hit her, that she fell. What a sad situation.
You know, in light of her character's plotline I find that assessment very interesting.

I saw the preview of that episode and thought, "Hey, that's Hallie!" but didn't watch the show. From I've heard, Nip/Tuck is a pretty graphic show and I'm not the best and being able to stomach those...
"Duh, squared."
