Over The Rainbow

Post by special_k » Sep 25th 2004, 11:36 pm

Some of my friends are in California at the Dragonboat tournament. I was supposed to be there with them in San Francisco. Instead, I'm sitting here listening to Jane Monheit's "Over The Rainbow" which I heard last night over the end titles of Sky Captain & The World Of Tomorrow. Monheit's delicately intimate treatment is utterly captivating.

I'm not thinking of the catch-up cleaning to do from a week of being in class. Of whether or not I'll be able to sleep tonight. The pain in my wrist. Frasier, Will & Grace, or a Chinese film? No, not tonight. I'm thinking of a certain guy... (sighs)
"Sometimes things happen between people that you don't really expect. And sometimes the things that are important are the ones that seem the weirdest or the most wrong, and those are the ones that change your life."

Jessie, "Once and Again"
