Winter Wonderland

Post by Emeralduk » Nov 16th 2003, 2:14 pm

Hey all, it's been a while since i last posted, i've been busy with college-i'm loving it so far and am SO glad i decided to go to the college I'm at now, and doing the course I'm doing. The people there are great and i've made tons of new friends. :D

Anyway, back to the topic-just thought i'd spend a minute or two, thinking about what i'd like this xmas, good way to remind myself:

DVDs: Fifth Element-new edition out soon (yay!), Igby Goes Down, Rules of Attraction, Phone Booth, Jackass the movie
Other: jewellery, makeup, and of course chocolate!

Have a good November all :Fade-color

Picked it up today as well :)

I opted to not go for the Gift Set version (which surprised even me ;) ) I decided it wasn't worth the extra cost.

Yup, I picked it up at Cost Co tonight too. Patience is highly overrated.

Look, if this is weird for you, being tutored? I don't mind helping you a little longer.
You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?

cross off Red Dwarf III - hurrah!
Also cross off Dude Where's my Country?

Add:
a book which I think is called 283 (after the number of stations on the London Underground) which is basically a collection of tales revolving around the network (true ones). I can't find this book anywhere... but I know it exists because someone once showed me a copy (can't recall who).

A 'Learn French' linguaphone pack.

My Christmas wish list has to include the new Alien DVD set.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 85-3249602

At under $70, this set seems to be very reasonably priced.

I'd also like Alias, Season 2.

I have a feeling I'm going to cave and buy this one soon. Alias rocks!

Oh, yes...I also want peace on Earth and goodwill towards man.....

Graham: And how much of you?
Angela: Dad!
Graham: Oh, I'm sorry! I asked a question about your life, didn't I? Woah, what came over me?

For Christmas I want:

An eye exam so I get a pair of glasses, the ones I have are broken, and although I only wear them when I am driving, I will need a new pair for when I go on rotations in May.

Alias Season 2 on DVD

I already got my other wish on my wish list; last Monday I found out that my Dad's tumor is all gone. This was really a miracle, because all but a year ago the doctors said he was a lost case and were not even going to treat him and gave him less then 2 years. I am glad that my mom was pushy and found someone who would treat my Dad.

Sick

Post by sirhansirhan » Nov 26th 2003, 4:07 pm

I see that it has been two weeks since the post (I'm catching up, sorry), but I'd like to commend fnordboy on his want of the Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist DVD. I think that it is the single best documentary ever made (with Crumb coming in a close second), but I can't help but be surprised when someone has so much as heard of it.
