Sedated

Post by Guest » Mar 24th 2000, 5:45 pm

What's the name of the song "Between Names" perform at the Vertigo club when Rayanne runs out? The one that goes "twenty, twenty, twenty four hours to go / I wanna be sedated". Is it available (in it's entirity) on any CD's? If so, which ones. Isn't it a Ramones song?

It is indeed a Ramones song titled "I Wanna Be Sedated". It is the first song on the CD
Ramonesmania, which is a "best of" CD. I cannot remember the original album the song
was on, my memory gets foggy if I have to go back further than a quarter of a century.

I wanna be sedated

Post by DarkApprentice » Sep 3rd 2003, 11:50 am

The lyrics are as follows:

Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated
Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated

Just get me to the airport put me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry before I go insane
I can't control my fingers I can't control my brain

Oh no no no no no
Twenty-twenty-twenty...

Just put me in a wheelchair and put me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry before I go insane
I can't control my fingers I can't control my brain
Oh no no no no no
Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated
Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-o I wanna be sedated

Just put me in a wheelchair get me to the show
Hurry hurry hurry before I gotta go
I can't control my fingers I can't control my toes

Oh no no no no no

Twenty-twenty-twenty...

Just put me...

Ba-ba-bamp-ba ba-ba-ba-bamp-ba I wanna be sedated
Ba-ba-bamp-ba ba-ba-ba-bamp-ba I wanna be sedated
Ba-ba-bamp-ba ba-ba-ba-bamp-ba I wanna be sedated
Ba-ba-bamp-ba ba-ba-ba-bamp-ba I wanna be sedated

The Offspring covered it on The Ramones tribute album, they did a good version as well.

By the way, this is a really old thread?

I believe that according to our current time line, the thread was started in almost 1 yr. B.C. (Before Candgirl)

Actually, I was already registered under a different name and lurking at that time.

:D

I was a shy little wallflower who had to be coaxed out of her shell - really!

Okay, fine - I didn't like the forum format back then so I only read about a quarter of the posts and didn't bother to reply to most of them.

I thought about this while reading the thread. It's indeed a good version, and they play it in the movie Idle Hands (which is a funny movie btw).

I'm having trouble picturing you as quiet and shy. Perhaps I'll call this the candygirl "big bang" theory. Just out of curiousity, what was your name prior to candygirl? Before you became a posting machine. :robot:

I don't remember off the top of my head - the reason I finally re-registered with a new username was because I couldn't remember my old username, password, or which email account I had used to set it all up with.

You have to watch out for the quiet and shy ones. Once they get going, they really get going. Their energy and enthusiasm will surprise you. It might have to do with having things pent up all of the time. I've surprised a couple of women in bed. They had no idea of what I was capable of.

Patty: If Rayanne's not seeing you, and we're not seeing you, who is seeing you?
Graham: And how much of you?
Angela: Dad!
Graham: Oh, I'm sorry! I asked a question about your life, didn't I? Woah, what came over me?

That's definitely an argument in Brian's favor!
