We were staring down this big tunnel of white light.

And then what happened?

We were like, forget that, man, it's too far.

Hey, I had a plan!

You? A plan?

A good plan. Smart. Carefully laid out. – But I got bored. All that watching, waiting, my legs started to cramp.

Unfortunately I can only be a slacker during the school year when I don't have to work. But in the summer, in order to graduate I must get so many intern hours I have to work full time, thus I only check here maybe once a week. Lately I haven't had much to say.

Dammit, that's it! If he would just stick with his old avatar, I'd be up to a couple grand by now. But noooooo...

Don't blame your inadequacies on me. My avatar doesn't stop Lance from posting. (and he isn't even from the east coast).
Still LOL! Threatening to become

What does the east coast have to do it? lance is more geographically secure?

Besides, lance is a posting machine. The man writes in his sleep. :D

Gary
Look Ma,

I am geographically secure!

:D

I have been on vacation and moving into our first house for the past week and a half, so this has been the first time I posted since 6/5. I know, I know. You all missed me, didn't you? What? What was that? You didn't even notice I was gone?

Congrats on the new house, Megs. Welcome back.

Hey!

You were most certainly missed. The board hasn't been the same without you, Fnordboy's scary avatar aside  Glad to hear about the new house. How is it? Does it have everything you were looking for (bigger, roomer, closer to work, further from work)?

Best,

Thanks, TomSpeed and lance!

The house is great! It's our first house, a townhouse in Ashburn, VA. Very nice area (but very yuppy-ish). It has three bedrooms, a huge kitchen, master bath with a soaking tub (awesome!) and a big living room and rec room.

It is farther out for both of us, but in this area, to get something decent in our price range (under $250,000), we had to do it. I still carpool, which is great.

We are getting used to the area. My husband has already become acquainted with the nearest Best Buy, so he's happy.

It's not perfect, but it's ours.

Best Buy is good and everything, but the real question is whether there is a Borders or Barnes and Noble nearby. I start to shake if I don't get to one or the other at least once a month. Although a good Amazon surfing always takes the edge off.

I used to work in a Borders, and I get the shakes going into it.

Must be some strange medical condition... :D

Nope. No Borders or Barnes and Noble in the vicinity. Also no Blockbuster. I find that unbelievable, so we will have to start exploring.

Uh... its depends on what you call "in the area". I think there is a McDonald's near. I know there is a Taco Bell. :D
